Hallo,
ich kämpfe hier mit einem Acer Travelmate 4070 und dem Sound, der nicht
will.
Zunächst: auf der WindowsXP-Partition läuft alles perfekt. Das will ich
auch mit SuSE 10.2 hinbekommen. SuSE erkennt die Karte:
Model: "Acer Incorporated [ALI] 82801FB/FBM/FR/FW/FRW (ICH6 Family) High
Definition Audio Controller"
und alsasound wird scheinbar fehlerlos installiert.
Nur kommt kein Ton aus den Lautsprechern/Headset.
In kmix/amixer ist mute off und alles voll aufgedreht.
Doch fast hätte ich beim restart von rcalsasound folgende Zeile im
/var/log/messages übersehen:
linux-xzfd kernel: hda_codec: Unknown model for ALC883, trying
auto-probe from BIOS...
Wie biegt man das wieder hin? Im /etc/modprobe.d/sound steht:
alias snd-card-0 snd-hda-intel
alias sound-slot-0 snd-hda-intel
options snd-hda-intel model=acer position_fix=1
Welche model passen noch? Ich habe schon ziemlich viel (auch unsinniges)
durchprobiert. Oder muss ich das ganze ganz neu aufsetzen? Jedenfalls
rcalsasound restart gibt keinen Fehler in den Output, nur diese eine
komische Zeile im messages.
Übrigens: gemäß Empfehlung aus Google-Suche habe ich die Karte mit yast
deaktiviert (mit yast hat es auch nicht getan) und mit alsaconf
eingerichtet - und fortan Finger weg von yast. Das ging ohne
Fehlermeldung. Auch Empfehlungen mit acpi=off und acpi=noirq habe ich in
meiner Verzweiflung gemacht - natürlich ohne Erfolg.
Was mich weiterhin wundert:
rpm -q alsa
alsa-1.0.14a-0.pm.7
Das ist von packman der Uni Bremen (smart channel). Ursprünglich war auf
der DVD 1.0.13 (was genau denselben Fehler gebracht hat).
So, jetzt kommt's:
cat /proc/asound/version

Wo ist diese Uraltversion her?
Hat jemand eine Idee wie man das fixen könnte? (Außer auf Susi 10.3 zu
warten mit ungewissem Ausgang).
