Hallo Liste Gerade habe ich die aktuelle (?) Firefox Version durch das Community Repo eingespielt bekommen, als mir der Browser beim ersten Start meldet, das es sich hier um eine unbekannte Version von Firefox handeln würde. Tatsächlich ist die letzte offizielle Version die 3.6.11 , aktualisiert wurde aber gerade auf 3.6.12, kann sich das jemand erklären ? HP P212 Ultrium 3

Moin moin, ich versuche grad erfolglos mein Ultrium 920 extern an meine SuSI zu koppeln via Smart Array p212 Kontroller. Im Post des Kontrollers wird das Laufwerk auch angezeigt aber leider nicht in meiner SuSE 11.3. Normalerweise sollte er doch automatisch das Tape finden, oder ? Der Kontroller zumindest wird korrekt geladen. Samsung CLP-310

Hallo, ein Bekannter hat auf seiner SUSE 11.3 einen Druckertreiber von Samsung installiert und mich heute mit folgendem Problem konfrontiert: Er kann als root den Drucker installieren und auch nutzen. Das funktioniert bis zum nächsten Neustart des Systems. Danach kann er den Drucker zwar ansprechen, wird aber nach einem Kennwort gefragt. Die Abfrage lautet "Authentication requried for printing document xxxx.pdf". In einer zweiten Zeile vor dem Eingabefeld für das Passwort steht "none". Angeblich hat er alles probiert (root, Anwender, ....), nichts hat geholfen. Danach hat er den Druckertreiber nochmals installiert (es wird dann ein neuer Drucker angelegt) und schon geht das Problem wieder von vorne los. Mittlerweile hat er x Drucker am Rechner. Irgendwie macht mich das "none" vor dem Eingabefeld stutzig. Da soll doch bestimmt der Nutzername stehen Kennt einer von Euch die Lösung für dieses Problems und würde mir diese evtl. auch verraten, damit ich per Telefonferndiagnose ganz groß rauskommen kann? Wer will mit diesen IPs reden?

Hallo und guten Morgen, meine Server zu Hause schreibt (schon seit einiger Zeit, was mir aber jetzt erst aufgefallen ist) regelmässig zwei Einträge ins logfile der Firewall. Irgendeine Applikation versucht öfters "nach hause" zu telefonieren: Ich finde Requests an diverse Adressen aus dem Netzwerk 208.83.13[79].x; diese Adressen gehören zu einer Firma "c l o u d m a r k", die mir gar nichts sagte. Insbesondere habe ich nicht bewusst dahin irgendetwas konfiguriert. Diese Requests gehen immer an destination port 2703. Eine Suche in /etc nach irgendetwas mit "cloud" ergab nur zwei Einträge in /etc/services Wer oder was könnte das sein? Gefunden habe ich das indem ich einen anderen WM gestartet habe und in einem Fenster "strace konqueror" aufgerufen hatte. Der hatte zum Schluss in dem Verzeichnis rumgemacht bevor er abkotzt. Fragen zu Tomcat

Hallo, ich bin mich momentan in Tomcat am Einarbeiten und habe Teile der Doku gelesen. 3 Fragen: Wenn ich möchte, daß eine Applikation unter http://hostname:8080 zu erreichen ist, muß ich dann die betr. Appliaktion unter tomcat/webapps/ROOT/ ablegen ? Was ist mit dem dort vorh. Inhalt ? Sind die Applikationen, die deployed werden, auch irgendwo in einer Konfigurationsdatei zu deployen/nicht zu deployen ? Momentan mache ich das mit dem Manager Webinterface Was ist mit der Applikation .metadata ? Muss die deployed werden ? Danke für alle Antworten. openSUSE 11.3 x86_64 und kde 4.5 - geht hier nicht (mehr)

Hallo, leichtsinnig wie man manchmal ist habe ich heute einen Rechner von 11.3 32bit auf 11.3 64 bit "gehoben". Mittlerweile sind alle repositories eingebunden; der Rechner läuft im RL3 ohne Probleme. Ein "zypper dup" will nichts mehr leisten; KDE kommt vom KDE Release 4.5 Repository. Ein rpm --verify für alle Pakete zeigt mir keine Auffälligkeiten. Trotzdem weigert sich der Rechner KDE4 zu starten. Ein init 5 bringt mir den login-Screen; nach einer Eingabe lande ich wieder hier. Ein startx von der Konsole im RL3 bringt mir wieder die Konsole. Wie automatisch auf Änderungen im FS reagieren

Hallo zusammen! Ich habe irgendwann mal was gelesen ... Es gibt eine Möglichkeit sich unter Opensuse bei Änderungen von Programmen oder FS benachrichtigen zu lassen. Beispiel: Durch eine irgenwo 'gewirkte Magie'TM wird ein Script zum Virenscan über ein sich gerade geändertes Verzeichnis benachrichtigt, bzw. automatisch gestartet. Oder der start eines Programmes bewirkt auch eine NAchricht mit der mein Script reagieren kann um zb. sicherzustellen das die DB auch läuft. Wo muss ich ansetzen, gibt es ein nettes Howto dazu oder gar Beispiele? Fileserver synchronisieren/replizieren

Servus zusammen, ich stehe vor folgender Situation: Samba Server in Büro1 | / \ / \ Slow link Slow link | | | | Samba-Server Samba-Server in in Büro2 Büro3 Im Moment ist es so, daß Büro2 und Büro3 über ihr DSL auf den Samba-Fileserver in Büro1 zugreifen. Aber das ist natürlich unbefriedigend von der Performance her. Gibt es eine Möglichkeit, die drei Server so zu synchronisieren bzw. zu replizieren, daß sie sich gegenüber den Nutzern in den Büros verhalten, als wären sie einer? Ziel wäre, daß die Nutzer über das LAN auf den Datenbestand zugreifen können, und Änderungen im Hintergrund auf die anderen Maschinen geschoben werden, wo die entsprechenden Daten einstweilen gelockt sind. Man könnte die Datenbestände per unison o.ä. synchronisieren. Allerdings kommt man in Schwierigkeiten, wenn sich auf beiden Seiten des Datenbestandes etwas geändert hat. Gibt es dafür Software, oder irgendwelche Tricks, mit denen man arbeiten könnte? Kernel-aktualisieren bei XEN-Dom0 und DomU

Hallo, ich habe hier eine SuSE 11.2 als Dom0 und darauf eine paravirtualisierte SuSE11.3-DomU. You bietet mir jetzt für beide Dom´s ein Kernel-Update an. Ich hatte das schon mal versucht zu aktualisieren, mit dem Erfolg, daß beide Dom´s neu aufgesetzt werden mußten, weil sich das System nicht mehr starten ließ. Gibt es etwas bei der Aktualisierung zu beachten, evtl. die Reihenfolge der Aktualisierung, damit mir das nicht nochmal passiert? Und noch ne zweite Frage: Bei älteren SuSE-Versionen konnte ich eine (Daten-)Partition in einer DomU formatieren und dort mounten und verwenden. Wenn die DomU inaktiv war, konnte ich dann diese Partition auch mal testweise in der Dom0 mounten. Weiß jemand warum das jetzt nicht mehr klappt und statt dessen ein unbekanntes Filesystem gemeldet wird. Die Partition liegt nur auf einem Software-Raid1 aber in keinem LVM. Webseite schießt Fenstersystem ab

Hallo, sowas habe ich noch nicht gesehen: Wenn ich eine bestimmte Webseite mit dem Browser aufrufe, wird nicht nur der Browser abgeschossen, sondern gleich das Fenstersystem. Genauer: nach dem Anklicken eines Links auf diese Seite wird der Bildschirm schwarz und kurz danach sehe ich den Login-Screen. Alle Fenster-Anwendungen (e.g. Musik) werden klarerweise mit "abgeschossen". Ein echt cooler Bug, insbesondere wo diese Seite problemlos von einem MS-Explorer angezeigt wird. Ist 100% reproduzierbar. Bug melden? Wenn ja, wo? ClawsMail holt Mails mehrfach von GMX ab

Ich verstehe nicht, warum nach einem Update von 11.3 auf einem Netbook nun KIWI-LTSP angezeigt wird. OT: Virtuabox Fehlermeldung VT-x nicht enabled

Seit heute habe Ich das Problem das Ich keine Vbox Images mehr starten kann. Kommt gleich die Fehlermeldung: Für die virtuelle Maschine XXXXX konnte keine neue Sitzung eröffnet werden. VT-x is not available (VERR_VMX_NO_VMX) Unknown Error creating VM (VERR_VMX_NO_VMX) Fehlercode: NS_ERROR_FAILURE (0x80004005) Komponente: Console Interface: IConsole {6375231a-c17c-464b-92cb-ae9e128d71c3} Die Vbox Maschinen sind alle x86. Meine CPU ist eine INTEL Core 2 Duo E7400. Nach ein bisschen Recherche habe Ich herausgefunden, das meine CPU kein VT-x kann. VLC

Hallo Liste, ich habe vor kurzem den VLC-Player von 1.1.0 ? auf 1.1.4 upgedatet. Habe es nicht sofort Ausgetestet, doch funktioniert der Live-stream nicht mehr wie gewohnt. Dateien wurden ohne Typ-Bezeichnungen (.mp3 etc) erstellt, irgendwie ist der Wurm drin. Über YaST wollte ich jetzt die aktuelle Version erstmal deinstallieren um danach die Vorgängerversion wieder einzurichten. Trotz Deinstallation und sogar Neustrart, der Shortcut auf dem Plasma hat sich verändert (jetzt ?), wird der VLC weiterhin damit gestartet (ver. 1.1.4) und ist soweit Funktionsfähig. Laut Yast ist er deinstalliert, unter dem Suse-Button ist er nicht zu finden. Wie habe ich den so etwas zu verstehen ? opensuse 11.3, google earth 5.1 Problem

Hallo, nach längerer Zeit wollte ich mit Google-earth etwas nachsehen. Das Programm lässt sich nicht mehr aufrufen, d.h. das Icon dreht sich eine Weile und das war's. Eine Neuinstallation brachte nichts, die 5.2 Version zeigt das gleiche Verhalten. Eine Suche bei Google erbrachte nichts Hilfreiches. Der Rest des Computers zeigt keine Auffälligkeiten. Google-earth 5.1, System opensuse 11.3 64 bit, kde 4.4, Standardinstallation, AMD Grafikkarte, Standard-Grafiktreiber aus der Suse Distro. Die KDE Arbeitsflächeneffekte funktionieren. Irgendweche Tipps ? DualHead unter OpenSuse 11.3

Hallo, Ich bitte um Hilfe vor dem Update des Kernels und des X11 Servers hatte ich einen einwandfreien DuaHead betrieb mit meinen 2 Monitoren ich musste ledeglich immer wieder einstellen das der 2 Monitor neben dem 1 ist und nicht geklont werden soll. Seit dem angesprochenen Update am 22.10.2010 wird mein 2 Monitor nicht mehr erkannt und bleibt schwarz. Habe schon 2 Tage gegoogelt und verschiden Forenbeiträge ausprobiert, habe aber die Erkennung des 2 Monitors immer noch nicht. habe meine Xorg.conf mal angehängt. Hallo zusammen, bei mir mußte ich in ~/.config/Google/GoogleEarthPlus.conf den Eintrag enableTips=false setzen, damit googleearth startet. Vielleicht hilft das? Unter dem Strich kommt es mir nicht auf eine HA-Lösung an, sondern darauf, daß alle Nodes den gleichen Datenbestand haben, und daß die User mit LAN-Geschwindigkeit arbeiten können, abgesehen von der Ausnahme, daß ständig kreuz und quer an derselben Datei gearbeitet wird. Dann muß man natürlich immer die Synchronisation abwarten. rsync ähnliches Tool gesucht

Hallo, ich möchte Backup von einigen große Dateien machen. Nun kam ich auf die Idee, nur Differenzen zu speichern, so ähnlich wie rsync das beim Abgleich großer Dateien über ein lahmes Netz macht. Gibt es dafür ein Tool? 1. Tag: Komplettkopie 2. Tag: rsyncdiff Komplettkopie aktueller_Stand >diff1 3. Tag: rsyncdiff Komplettkopie aktueller_Stand >diff2 4. Tag: rsyncdiff Komplettkopie aktueller_Stand >diff3 5. Tag: rsyncdiff Komplettkopie aktueller_Stand >diff4 6. Tag: rsyncdiff Komplettkopie aktueller_Stand >diff5 7. Tag: rsyncdiff Komplettkopie aktueller_Stand >diff6 8. Tag: Komplettkopie ... diffX soll dann das enthalten, was rsync wirklich über die Leitung schicken würde. nfs problem

KVM Problem

Hallo, ich benutze KVM auf meinem Notebook (Intel T7700) völlig problemfrei. Nun versuche ich es auf einem HP Server mit einem Opteron Prozessor, laut /proc/cpuinfo ist es ein "Dual-Core AMD Opteron(tm) Processor 8216", und sehe von Zeit zu Zeit, dass sich das Gast-System aufhängt. Das System reagiert einfach auf nichts mehr. Die Maschine verbraucht auf dem Host kaum Prozessorzeit. Host ist opensuse 11.3, Gast 11.1. Ich starte die Maschine mit "-cpu host" und "-smp 2": /usr/bin/qemu-kvm \ -name "$NAME" \ -boot order=dc \ -drive file="$DISK",if=virtio,boot=on \ -drive file="$DIR"/config.cpio,if=floppy,index=1 \ -m 2048 \ -cpu host \ -smp 2 \ -enable-kvm -daemonize \ -balloon virtio \ -vnc 127.0.0.1:$VNCDISPLAY \ -monitor unix:$MONITORPORT,server,nowait \ -serial unix:$SERIALPORT,server,nowait \ -net nic,vlan=0,model=virtio,macaddr=$MACEXT \ -net tap,vlan=0,name=ext,ifname=$IFNAMEEXT \ -net nic,vlan=1,model=virtio,macaddr=$MACINT \ -net tap,vlan=1,name=int,ifname=$IFNAMEINT \ "$@" Über das QEMU Monitor Kommando "q" lässt sich die VM noch ausschalten. Das ist aber auch alles. Manchmal läuft die VM tagelang, manchmal nur einige Minuten. Wo fange ich am Besten an zu suchen? Kennt jemand ähnliche Probleme?
