Yast-Modem initialisieren?

Hallo Liste, ich möchte mit dem Befehl ATM0 mein Modem das Schreien abgewöhnen. Bis jetzt initialisiere ich meine Modem lediglich über ATX1. Wie trage ich einen weiteren Befehl ein ? Mit Leerzeichen trennen(ATX1 ATM0) geht nicht - akzeptiert das Modem nicht. Wer hat eine Idee? (OT) Mail ohne Absender

Hallo * Nur kurze Frage, ohne hier einen gewaltigen Thread loszutreten (hoffe ich mal): Habt Ihr auch eine Mail von (anscheinend) der Firma NIKOMA MediaWorks GmbH bekommen, in der ALLE Header-Angaben fehlen? SuSe 6.3 / emacs / ange-ftp

Hallo Liste, jetzt hab' ich SuSe 6.3 aufgespielt, wollte im emacs wie gewohnt eine Datei mittels ange-ftp aufmachen und dann passiert (fast) nichts mehr: Nach Abfrage des Passworts zeigt Emacs in der ModeLine nur Loading env ...done an, und dann geht nichts mehr in ihm, nur noch C-g hilft. Ich hab' auch schon einen älteren Emacs (20.3) probiert, das gleiche. ftp selbst funktioniert. Any Idea? Jürgen -- Dr.rer.nat. howtogz drucken?

Hallo zusammen, früher hab ich als user keine probleme gehabt, ein HOWTO-file im .gz-format einfach mittels "lpr Irgendwas-HOWTO.gz" an den Drucker zu schicken. Der Apsfilter hat gunzip gestartet, das HOWTO (scheinbar eine temporäre kopie davon?) entzipt und gedruckt. Seit ich SuSE 6.2 verwende, druckt er das zipfile roh, also als "gallischen fluch". Was wurde verändert? Was muss ich tun? In der SuSE-sdb ha ich nix gefunden, Die permissions von apsfilter und gzip haben sich nicht verändert. Immer was neues... Hallo, > was kann jemand Böses auf Port 111 tun? hmm, weiss ich auch nicht genau, aber er wird gerade in letzter Zeit fleissig abgescannt. Man kann halt schauen, ob er ueberhaupt offen ist, welcher daemon in velcher version darauf lauscht und ob dieses Ding Knackpunkte hat, ueber die man root-Rechte auf der Maschine erlangt oder das System abschiesst. Wenn man Lust und Zeit hat, findet man sicher die passenden exploits etc.. Ich wuerde ihn auf jeden Fall schliessen und erst mal die zustaendige Leute fuer die remote-IPs kontaktieren. Hallo, das Formatieren über Lowlevel ist aber auch nicht ganz ohne. Zumindes IDE Festplatten können daran sterben. Ich benutze für solche Zwecke das Tool s0kill. Es ist nur 25k groß und überschreibt die Spur 0 der Festplatte. Danach ist diese partitionsmäßig wie eine neue. Leider habe ich keine Adresse, wo ich das Teil ablegen könnte. Falls jemand sowas anbieten kann, bitte pm an mich. Syquest Wechselfestplatte?

Hier gibt es günstig die 1,5 Gbyte Syquest Wechselfestplatte als Paralellport-Ausführung zu kaufen. Ich möchte sie gern als Backupmedium einsetzen. Kriegt man die unter SuSE-Linux 5.3 (kernel 2.0.36) zum Laufen? Hat jemand Erfahrung damit? moin leute, ich weis mir keinen rat mehr, fetchmail holt einwandfrei die mail ab, jedoch wird sie niemals dem entsprechenden user zugestellt. ich habe den verdacht, dass der smtp-deamon versucht, die sender-domain aufzulösen ? kann das sein; wenn ja, dies funktioniert nicht. der befehr host "t-online.de" z.b. bringt kein resultat. ist das der fehler ? wie kann man dem das abgewöhnen ?
