I've noticed that if I try to quote a PGP signed message in a reply, I get nothing -- just a header. Has anyone else observed this? Is it a problem new to Konqueror 3.2.0? Paul Abrahams

Hi there I am soooo eager to get my hand on KDE3.2. (I am writing a book about Linux in Acedemia, and wan some up to date screenshots). But as far as I understand installing KDE 3.2 on top of my SuSE 9.0 system is asking for trouble. So: Does anyone have an idea about a realistic release data for an official KDE 3.2 update from SuSE, or a SuSE 9.1 update? -j -- Linux install party in La Paz, Bolivia <http://weblog.janus.dk/archives/2002/10/19/000184.html>

kopete and ksim

I understand that kopete is part of the new kde3.2. I've installed all of kde3.2 but kopete hasn't shown up. Am I missing a component or has something gone wrong? Also ksim hasn't shown up either. K menu applications missing

I recall someone having a problem where his K menu applications had vanished. I have a similar problem with just a few applications. Is there a tool that will restore the K menu applications (maybe appget???) ? Thanks, -Dennis

Hello, in my new KDE 3.2 on a SuSE 8.2 I lost a lot of settings. What I am still missing after reconfiguring is the window decoration "System++". In which package is that decoration hidden? Thanks for your hints Stefan

After a tortuous installation of KDE 3.2 on a 9.0 system, I've encountered, among others, a nasty problem with arts. It started when I logged in after installation and got a box with this message: During the previous startup, KNotify crashed while instantiating KNotify. Do you want to try again or disable aRts sound output? I could not get past that except by disabling aRts, and now I have no sound. Use ftp://ftp.mirror.ac.uk/sites/ftp.suse.com/pub/suse/i386/supplementary/KDE/u… as your installation source (replace update_for_9.0 with the directory corresponding to your currently installed SuSE version) Cheers, Robert. kdm: Greeter exited unexpectedly

Hallo, ich habe versucht, mit Xmanager (www.xmanager.com) mir meinen Linux-KDE-Desktop auf Windows darzustellen/zu verwenden (da der Linux Server demnächst ohne Monitor in den Keller wandern soll....): Xterm über einen SSH-Kanal anzeigen zu lassen, klappt. Ein XDM Broadcast zeigt mir auch meinen Linux-Host zur Auswahl an, Kurzzeitig sehe ich den hellblauen Hintergrund meines KDE Desktops (und dem SuSE Logo drauf). Danach verschwindet der Hintergrund wieder und das einzige Log, das ich auf dem Server bis jetzt sehe, ist: Kdm: Greeter exited unexpectedly. Kdm: Abnormal helper termination, code 1, signal 0. Mein 'normaler' KDE Desktop läuft währenddessen auf dem Linux-Server- Ohne Probleme. Wie kann ich das Problem weiter einkreisen? Irgendwelche Tipps? Thanks Charlie
