Runaway programs

I inadvertently ran Nautilus while in KDE. Nothing happened right away, but within a few minutes Nautilus opened and re-opened several times, causing my terminal to freeze up. I shut sown the system and brought it back up. KDE went about restoring the session and the same thing happened all over again. I tried switching to another workspace, but the same thing happened there, too. How do I keep this from re-occurring? 1) Is there a config file that keeps track of what processes were running during a system crash that I can modify, to keep Nautilus from being invoked ? 2) Is there a way to kill all active processes from within the text-based window - <Cntrl><Alt><F1> ? ____________________________________________________________ Get advanced SPAM filtering on Webmail or POP Mail ... Intalling a program...

Hello friends, I have SuSE Linux 8.2. I downloaded and installed ImageMagick v. 5.5.4-35 using YaST. YaST did not place an icon for this program in my work menu. So, I tried running this program by typing "imagemagick", "ImageMagick", "imagemagic", etc in the console without the quotes. But, none of these commands is recognized by bash. I searched for the executable on my computer, but, I did not find it. Can you help me here? Thank you all. Best wishes, Ram.

Konqueror 3.1.1 on overlib

Hi All! It seems that Konqueror 3.1.1 has some problems with overlib, which is used for all sorts of neat mouseover features. On my Linux tutorial, I used it for popup glossary entries. The problem is that the popups appear progressively high in the browser until eventually they are no longer visible. Here are two examples of where this problem appears. http://www.linux-tutorial.info/cgi-bin/display.pl?2&0&0&0&3 http://www.bosrup.com/web/overlib/ This worked fine on IE 6 and worked in previous versions of Konqueror (what I had with SuSE 8.1). After upgrading to SUSE 8.2, it stopped working. It seems that the problem only starts when I scroll down. When I am at the top of the page, the popup works correctly. That is, the popup appears to the lower right of the link. But the further I move down, the higher up and away the popup appears until it is no longer visible. Since this popup mechansism is an important part of my web site, I am anxious to get this problem solved. Any help is greatly appreaciated. Konqueror crash (KDE 3.1.2)

I recently upgraded to the latest SuSE 3.1.2 rpms, and now I am expereincing strange Konqueror crashes. Well not really crashes, since Konqueror simply disapears without a trace. Three I saw it crash while working with it, and another time I was looking for my open browser and it wasn't around anymore. I have upgraded last week and it happened 3-4 times, so I cannot really see when it happens (I think it happens sometimes when I want to enter a new address in the addressfield.). Anyone else seen this behaviour? This is kdebase3-3.1.2-24. Kostas

SuSE 8.2 Kmail not filling in TO for Mailing lists

Hi All! I just noticed that since I upgraded to SuSE 8.2, Kmail no longer automatically inserts the TO address for mailing lists. Is this a known issue or am I missing something? Sigsegv in KMyMoney2

Hi All! Anyone get KMyMoney2 to work on SuSE 8.2 for more than three minutes without a Sigsegv? I am getting the sigsegv in several places, such as "Open Account Register", "Account Options"· The backtrace doesn't say much at all and a similar bug(?) has been reported in Bugzilla on kde.org. kmail filter for message content

Hi I'm using spamd for filtering spam in Kmail and it works almost flawlessly except for few messages per week that I get in my inbox which should be put in spam folder instead. Is it possible to filter messages that contain certain word in e-mail body (eg. viagra) and move them to spam folder? I tried to apply filters "<body> contains viagra" and/or "<message> contains viagra" but it doesn't work. regards, himba -- This €-mail was Kmailed.
