Hello!
There will be a kde3 bugs triage day. The question is whether bugs that cannot
be confirmed for kde4 should be marked as wontfix or whether that would cause
a feeling of "kde3 users are not important anymore".
Since I can understand that maintainers want to focus on the new KDE, I would
propose to mark all kde3 bugs as wontfix that
- cannot be reproduced in kde4
- do not have enough votes
- take too much effort to fix.
Too much effort to fix would be more than half an hour of work.
Not enough votes may be <10.
What do you think?

Hello SuSE-KDE people,
Running 3.5.9 on 10.3
Was fooling around with desktop themes and now I have lost my colorized icons
on the desktop and in the task bar. They are all monochrome. When I
mouse-over they turn colored, just the opposite of what I want /used to have.
I played with the Personal Settings > Appearance & Themes > Icons > Advanced
until I am "blue" in the face. Doesn't seem to change anything. Am I doing
this in the wrong place?

Hi,
I've enabled the (experimental) feature of automatic debuginfo-package
generation in the buildservices repos KDE:KDE4:STABLE/UNSTABLE:Desktop/Extra-
Apps/Community and in KDE:KDE3.
As a result of that, the %debug_package macro must not (!) be added manually
anymore. Please fix your scripts.
Greetings,
Dirk

Hi Dirk,
after my break, yum nightly update welcomed me with:
Transaction Check Error:
file /usr/share/kde4/apps/konsole/Shell.profile conflicts between
attempted installs of kdebase4-workspace-branding-openSUSE-11.0-72.1 and
kde4-konsole-4.0.4-11.1
This is from the openSUSE 10.2 repos, but doesn't smell as dependant on the
distro base...
JFYI,
Pete

Running latest factory update, with latest KDE4/UNSTABLE (4.0.73).
At least two packages I've run into have dependencies for kdebase4-runtime >=
4.0.4 and <= 4.0.60. This conflicts with the packages from KDE4/UNSTABLE.
Are these real conflicts, as in these packages will not work with KDE 4.1, or
is simply a packaging issue? Or will these packages have to be built
separately in the OBS against KDE4/UNSTABLE?
The packages I've found (so far) are PolicyKit-kde (0.0.svn796716-14-x86_64)
and kde4-webkitpart (4.0.71.svn800669-16-x86_64), both from SL-OSS-FACTORY.
I'm not sure if this is a bug I should be reporting, or intentional to avoid
compatibility issues between KDE4 STABLE and UNSTABLE.
Cheers,
KV

My preference is to have one instance of Konqueror in web browser mode,
and open all links in tabs in that one instance. I'm not talking about
Konqueror in file manager mode, here.
I thought the following would achieve what I want, but it doesn't :(
Settings:
Configure Konqueror:
Web Behaviour:
Tabbed Browsing:
Select: 'Open links in new tab instead of in new window'
Advanced Options:
Select: 'Open as tab in existing Konqueror when URL is called externally'
When I click on a link in Kmail or Knode a new instance of Konqueror gets
fired up with a single tab containing the URL I clicked on, even if there
is another instance of Konqueror already running in web browsing mode.
What am I missing?

Hello,
on my system 10.3 the last KMail 5.7 - 5.8 is crashing by activating the
Workgroup Function with Imap ?
Is this a known bug ?

Konqueror crashes in the latest snapshots from OBS for KDE/UNSTABLE; I had
previously updated to the latest version in 10.3 a few days ago, and now in
11.0 using KDE/UNSTABLE, after the most recent update, I have the same problem
with similar builds (4.0.73-x). I can access a website in Konq, but within
about 3 seconds, even after the site starts rendering, it crashes. Prior to
upgrading to 4.0.73, it ran well, particularly in 11.0.
Couldn't find an existing bug, so am I the only one seeing this, or is it a
glitch with the latest snapshots, or particular to openSUSE?
Cheers,
KV
