[opensuse-kde] [tumbleweed] kde/plasma/wayland: Primary Selection Protocol (middle-mouse to paste)

Hi, after I tried KDE/Plasma/Wayland on Debian/testing AMD64 I inspired my colleague Joop Boonen to test it on OpenSuse/tumbleweed. Everything was fine besides Primary Selection (middle-mouse to paste), so I stopped using Plasma/Wayland. Joop is able to use primary selection in every application (KDE or GTK). So, I was surprised. Here on KDE/Plasma 5.12.5 I cannot do that (for example cut-n-paste in konsole via middle-mouse paste into firefox). I asked on the wayland-devel ML [1] with no answer. The retired KWin maintainer wanted to have this feature in wayland-protocols before implementing it in KWin/Plasma/Wayland. So, what magic did you do in OpenSuse? The Gnome-way? [1] has references on how Gnome did it in mutter. Or can you point me to the relevant packages with name (sources and patches)? Thanks in advance. [opensuse-kde] Highlight of source code in Markdown document

Hi, if I write document.md in Kate and I type something like ```shell while read L; do mv HybPiper."$L".[eo]* "$L"/; done < samples_list.txt ``` or ```R install.packages(pkgs=c("ape", "ggplot", "gplots", "heatmap.plus", "ips", "reshape"), lib="rpackages", repos="https://mirrors.nic.cz/R/", dependencies="Imports") ``` Kate nicely shows syntax highlight for selected language (BTW, much better than in Notepad++ or Geany:-). When I click on the document.md in Dolphin, it's opened in Okular. It generally renders well, but for the above source code blocks it doesn't show any source code highlight, just monospace font. I wonder if there is any way how to make Okular to display highlighted source code, if I should open it in something else, or if there is some more universal way how to get source code highlight in Markdown document. I also wonder if Okular could display navigation created form headlines (lines starting by one or more #) as e.g. Geany does this automatically. [opensuse-kde] KMail doesn't see local folders

Hi, after I replaced disk, reinstalled everything etc. I recreated all Akonadi resources. This was fast and smooth apart of one think. I had bunch of expiry rules on my main IMAP account to download (move) old e-mails into local Maildir. I set KMail local folders to point to /home/vojta/.local/share/local- mail/ The settings dialog says it's valid Maildir folder. It has 14 GB. Everything seems to be correct, but KMail doesn't see the folders. Clearing Akonadi cache and trying to restart it etc. didn't help. Any idea how to make KMail reading valid Maildir folder? Hi all, There was an email that came in from an anonymous source with the following statement. Any chance there is some truth to what is said and possibility to change it if there is some truth to it. I would think this is more of a prank as I'm sure there are enough checks and balances on KDE translations. Anyway, ccing Wolfgang as this package would have to be part of Package Hub and would have come from the community package. v/r Doug It came to our attention that KDE Polish "translation" has been sabotaged. Not only it looks unprofessional, but also it looks like someone is ridiculing Poles via these "traslations". It has been pointed out that one person hired by KDE has exclusive rights and Polish KDE community is completely excluded. German hiring a person to ridicule Poles via sabotaging and ridiculing Polish language is unacceptable. Taking into account German behavior toward Poles (Untermenschen) from the past (1939-1945) and gruesome murder of 6 millions of Poles by Germans in their death camps, it is unacceptable that one person hired by KDE is ridiculing Poles via making fun of Polish language, despite a strong opposition from Polish KDE community against such a racist behavior. [opensuse-kde] Bluetooth connection failure

Hello - I am running OpenSuSE Leap 15.0 with version 5.12.5 of the Bluetooth applet on my ASUS laptop. I am trying to make a Bluetooth connection to a gadget I have (a TinyTrack4 with the Bluetooth adapter) and it is not succeeding. I have no problems with making a Bluetooth connection to my Android phone so I don't think I have done anything wrong in setting up this Bluetooth device and indeed the Bluetooth applet shows the TinyTrack4 as an available device I can connect to. But when I try to connect, it appears that I get a momentary successful connection but then it almost immediately disconnects. The messages log file shows the following error message - 2020-03-05T19:50:15.949381-08:00 marcslaptop plasmashell[2455]: org.kde.bluez: PendingCall Error: "In Progress" I have no idea what that means and Google was of no help either... And FWIW when I dual boot my laptop over to Windows 10, I have no problems connecting to my TinyTrack4 with the Bluetooth connection. So any and all help will be much appreciated, and thanks in advance... I hope some kind guru can guide me and my laptop to a joyful Bluetooth union with my TinyTrak4 gizmo... Is there a way for spectacle to save an image without the crosshatch border around it? https://paste.opensuse.org/view/raw/50412799 It used to work fine, window under cursor meant window under cursor only, exactly what I see on screen, not with bloating embellishment that hides the actual window size of the source. :( -- Evolution as taught in public schools is religion, not science.
