[opensuse-kde] Removing Dolphin launcher?

Hi Fellow KDErs, I've been trying to remove the Dolphin and Firefox launchers from the bottom toolbar without sucess. Every time after booting I remove them and the next restart/boot they are back again. Is there some way to remove them permanently? Thanks, Tom -- “What we do for ourselves dies with us. [opensuse-kde] What is causing dolphin to do a slower refresh of the folders on first time start up?

Hello List mates, Has anyone noticed how much slower the folders seem to refresh. When starting dolphin on first time start up, I'm seeing the folders appear white and then turn blue as they are refreshing. We did not see this in earlier version of KDE i.e openSUSE 11.4. I am using an older computer from 2007 with a quad-core Q6600 and 4GB of RAM. Is this a problem with Qt and how can this be fixed? Cheers! [opensuse-kde] Firefox integrated audio/and video player

I'm not sure when this happened, but Firefox now insists on playing MP3 and some other audio/video formats via its integrated player. Which is no good, because I really want audacious to play the MP3 and I really don't want to allow Javascript just to get the controls for that player shown. However, there appears to be no configuration option to tell Firefox to hand these files off to an external application, even though these are still configured under Application. Ideas? [opensuse-kde] Krusader 2.0 adding custom action buttons ?

Hello, in Krusader 2 there are some action buttons at the buttom like F3 show or F5 copy. I wonder how can I add custom action buttons there? Is it possible to assign custom colors to these buttons much like Directory Opus for Amiga? [opensuse-kde] Audio configuration not saved

Hello, KDE 4.9.3 oS 12.2 can any tell me on witch place I can save the audio config handy. My Problem is I have in my computer on board a Intel audio, on the graphic Card a AMD Audio and USB Speaker. My system always find the AMD Sound Card as primary sound Card and I can't change this. When I change in KDE System setting from AMD to USB Speaker I can run the test sound, but after closing the window I have the old settings. In YaST2 the USB Speaker are the primary Sound "0" -- mit freundlichen Grüßen / best Regards. Günther J. A number of weeks ago, people in the #opensuse-kde channel started hacking on a new theme for KDE, which should have sported the iconic green of the distro. Alin suggested during a discussion to base the work on the Produkt theme[1]. At that point, the openSUSE contributor shumski (as he's known in IRC) started working on that, also taking a look at the icon set needed for the theme. Due to the KDE team's decision of bringing the 4.10 version of the KDE Platform, Applications and Workspaces for 12.3, shumski also made adjustments to handle the slight differences that took place between 4.9 and 4.10 with regards to theming. A very early draft was published in my blog[2] since I wanted to make the process hopefully open and communicate to the community what those people were doing. The overall impressions were positive and work continued. Recently, this theme was also pushed to KDE:Distro:Factory and then to Factory itself as one of the possible candidate themes for 12.3. I also blogged showing the new look[3]. At this point, we felt necessary to gather the feedback of a larger part of the openSUSE contributors, hence this mail. [opensuse-kde] too many xls clients

Hello List - sometimes it seems impossible to open an application, because the maximum number of xls clients has been reached [ on my stand-alone desktop 'puter, running tumbleweed, i believe this happens around 185 xls clients with KDE ] [ xlsclients | wc -l ] { Xfce desktop environment seems to use, under similar user-demands, about 65 xls clients } - thus, in order to proceed, to open a fresh application [ say kwrite ] it seems necessary to kill akonadiserver ............. - maybe this is caused by something wrong with my set-up . . . how please to trouble-shoot xls maxed-out probs ?? .......... thanks, best regards Ellan -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-kde+unsubscribe(a)opensuse.org To contact the owner, e-mail: opensuse-kde+owner(a)opensuse.org
