Hi everyone,
since upgrade from OpenSuSE 13.1 to 13.2 (respectively kdepim 4.11.5 to
4.14.3) I notice more frequent kwallet passphrase popups of the type "The
Program IMAP-Konto 1 of Type IMAP-E-Mail-Server requested opening of
kwalletxxx. Please provide passphrase".
I suspect it is related with intermittent UMTS connection during travelling.
Could somebody point me to the log-files, so I can start collecting information
for a bug report, please?
Thanks in advance and best reagards.

I've noticed that akonadi-runtime requires libqt4-sql-mysql and some mysql
provider, but it can use sqlite as backend. Is there some particular reason
for this, maybe some issues with sqlite backend or anything?

On openSUSE 13.2, using kde, when I use

If I use a 13.2 system with only lxde installed then midori does not crash
while visiting the same page.
Also using openSUSE 13.1 is ok and midori never crashed opening such page.
Does anybody have a clue on how to avoid the crash or should I fill a bug report?

Hi all,
just a little heads up for (at least) 13.2 users. It appears that using btrfs
as root fs (well, for /var/tmp/ fs) can cause problem with KSharedDataCache
(i.e. plasma cache, etc) in form of crashes.
It is reported upstream as https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=340657
It is yet unclear where the bug lies, as there are similar problems reported
for kernels 3.16.x - 3.17.1 on btrfs mailing list.
If you are using btrfs for root, and can reproduce the issue with 3.17.2 or
newer, or you cannot reproduce after updating kernel to 3.17.2, please follow
up on the bug report. Thanks!
Cheers,
Hrvoje
Hi,
I used to have in KDE Synaptiks setting to turn off touchpad when mouse is
connected and when typing o the keyboard. It was working fine in 13.1. After
upgrade to 13.2 I keep same settings, but it has no effect. So I see checked
setting „Automatically turn off touchpad when mouse is connected“, but
touchpad is active regardless connection of mouse... I have working Bumblebee,
but only Intel graphics is active. What can be wrong?
Sincerely,
Vojtěch

p, li { white-space: pre-wrap; }Hi,
you have to register to
http://bugzilla.opensuse.org
It is easy to report if you follow the indications in https://en.opensuse.org/openSUSE:Submitting_bug_reports
You will then choose the distribution you use (opensuse 13.2 e.g) and then the software you are referring to.
Check for duplicates if they exist. If the bug has already been reported, do set a comment to confirm it’s existence. Often if a lot of user encounter the same problem that can help to give the bug a bigger chance to be fixed.
Good luck.

Anyone was able to make appmenu-qt5 work properly in KDE4? When I'm trying to
set their magic env variable the Qt5 apps do not use KDE4 colors any more, and
menu does not work any way...

Hi,
in 13.1 and earlier I used to have in panel that little widget [1] allowing to
browse through folder as in menu and open files and folders. Very convenient.
But it seems to be missing in 13.2. At least it panel after upgrade looked as
unknown widget (just red cross) and I didn't find among available widgets. Any
idea where it is? :-)
Thanks in advance,
Vojtěch

I've tried to install kate5 from unstable KF5 repository, and something went
wrong... So if there is some special procedure to install it, please tell me.
1. I cannot get systemsettings5 to show style and color configuration. I've
already installed all possible packages from the repository which do not
conflict with KDE4, still nothing. Right now kate5 looks so alien that I have
to return back to kate 4.
2. I've tried neon5 and I see that it stores kdeglobals in ~/.project-neon5-
kde/config and second copy in ~/.project-neon5-kde/share/config, but my local
install creates all k* configs in ~/.config, which I do not want. Is that
normal, or I'm missing something here?
3. I've installed openSUSE 13.1 KDE on VirtualBox, then installed plasma5-
session and all the dependencies it wanted, uninstalling kde4 completely.
Changed displaymanager to sddm. After rebooting I see plain white screen
instead of DM. Autologin was enable, it did not worked, so that's not only
graphics issue.
4. Tried to install kdm back - it wants some parts of KDE, again conflicting
with plasma5. And I thought that DM should not be environment-specific...
5. Installed lightdm. This time Plasma5 showed me loading progress bar, and
after that showed me default wallpaper with mouse cursor. That's it. No
panels, no shortcuts, no reaction to mouse click.
On the internet everyone says that it is possible to have KDE4 and use some
kf5-based apps, but I was not able to find a way to do it, so unless there is
some magic way to do it which I missed - will have to stay with KDE4.
