I cannot add google calendar to korganizer. asks for google acct name, then password allow permission to akonadi to access google services "authorizing token. Hi. I did a fresh Tumbleweed installation recently and TBH I find the selections of default packages less than ideal. I hope you'll find my suggestions helpful: The "worst offender" IMO is that by default there are four (!) different ways exposed to the user via K_Menu icons to add and configure printers: system-config-printer, CUPS icon to launch the web interface, YaST, and KDE System Settings. https://drive.google.com/open?id=0BwhPBqc5eehzZG11VmNqcXJlM2M https://drive.google.com/open?id=0BwhPBqc5eehzY3pzVEFzZUk1S0E (the rendering error in system-config-printer's menu don't make it better) There are also a bunch of applications that cover rather specific niche cases: hugin - Stitching panoramas kruler - Count pixels kompare - Compare files konqueror - Two browsers are overkill. Konqueror is also behind in web technologies; plus you don't seem to track https://github.com/annulen/webkit to ship bug fixes. konversation - IRC is nice but the general public doesn't use it. libqt5-linguist and libQt5Designer5 - For developers only. The latter because of a weird dependency. Several *-32bit are also installed in TW 64bit but that has probably nothing to do with KDE software (didn't check the dependency tree, though). In addition I propose those packages to include in the default installation: discover - More approachable than YaST plasma5-session-wayland - For Plasma 5.6 or 5.7. Install only, not default yet. noto-emoji-fonts & noto-sans-symbols-fonts - Emoji and Dingbats are the norm nowadays. They shouldn't show up as placeholder boxes. [opensuse-kde] show seconds in digital clock shows no seconds

In not one of my openSUSE Plasma5 installations do I ever get to see seconds in the digital clock in the taskbar/panel, even though I've selected show seconds in every case. Does this not bother anyone else? I have yet to encounter this problem in any Fedora installation. Since an upgrade the last few days I've seen the following annoying behaviour in kmail5 The html part of a mail is not shown anymore. Also plain text which are signed by gpg or encrypted *Version 5.2.48 pre (QtWebEngine)* * KDE Frameworks 5.22.0 * Qt 5.6.2 (built against 5.6.2) * The /xcb/ windowing system Globally, this make kmail5 less attractive than usual ;-) I've been busy the last 4 days, so I didn't take contact directly with Laurent about this problem. For information I'm on TW (last update + lspci 3.5.1 :-) and using Qt56, KUF, KUA, KUE repositories. Hope the time this email is read a fix is published. [opensuse-kde] QT56 on TW with Factory KF5/Plasma5

Is there a set of repos that allow me to do this? I'm currently using just these two repos (in addition to the base TW repos): http://download.opensuse.org/repositories/KDE:/Frameworks5/openSUSE_Factory/ http://download.opensuse.org/repositories/KDE:/Applications/openSUSE_Factor… If I add QT5 ( http://download.opensuse.org/repositories/KDE:/Qt5/openSUSE_Factory/ ), I get conflicts with numerous KF5 libs. [opensuse-kde] kscreenlocker/kcheckpass from plasma 5.6.4 do not work any more on upgraded system

hi, after upgrading plasma workspace 5 from KDE frameworks5 repo from 5.6.3 to 5.6.4 i can't use kscreenlocker/kcheckpass any more. but kscreenlocker/kcheckpass do not work any more even after this restore. they always report "unlock failed". when starting journalctl i see: Authentication failure for rainer (invoked by uid 1000) i have an upgraded openSUSE x86_64 system since 12.3 and my authenticatio/pam settings work with pam_unix2.so instead of pam_unix.so. could it be, that kscreenlocker/kcheckpass internally rely on pam_unix.so which does not work on my machine? i downgraded all required plasma5 packages to 5.6.3 and now it works again. so it must have something to do with 5.6.4 versions of plasma5.... -- Best Regards | Freundliche Grüße | Cordialement | Cordiali Saluti | *DI Rainer Klier* Research & Development, Technical Sales Consultant -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-kde+unsubscribe(a)opensuse.org To contact the owner, e-mail: opensuse-kde+owner(a)opensuse.org
