[opensuse-kde] logging off from KDE session kills internet connection

Hi there, when I log off from a KDE sessions it seems a connection established via kinternet will be shut down. Where can this behevaiour be changes so when I log off from the last KDE session the internet connections (DSL dial-up) keeps alive? Hallo, es fehlt wohl die libopensync in Version 0.22 (oder neuer) Error: Missing Dependency: libopensync >= 0.22 is needed by package kitchensync auf repos.opensuse.org in KDE3 für openSuSE 10.2 ist nur libopensync-plugin-kdepim-0.20-14.38.i586.rpm enthalten. Fehlt da irgendwo noch ein Paket? Auch mit Yast aus den üblichen Quellen (packman, KDE3, backports, onlineupdate) erhalte ich kein neuers libopensync. Danke! Christian

[opensuse-kde] Kicker freeze with Wireless + batteries on a Laptop

Hi all, here my little annoying problem: Kicker freeze on wireless connection Situation: While going out to connect to internet via wireless, kicker freeze randomly (didn't notice real pattern). We can launch application via the run command (right click on the desktop), or use the icon. Only the kicker is frozen. Parameter always present: PCMCIA card trendnet via ndiswrapper. kontact (Kmail module). laptop running on batteries. Kicker unfreeze when the computer re-plugged Wireless network device properties applet As i described. The problem strike randomly when we go out to use internet. the computer can be previously connected via local network and in some other time it wasn't linked the local network (cabled). We suspected kWallet at a point but the problem remained but on a less frequently basis. Instead of 100% of time this is +- 5% of the time now. [opensuse-kde] knotify4 crashing and drkonqi

Hello! With yesterday's knotify4 from build service for opensuse 10.2 seems to be in a crash and restart loop, i.e. it is started while starting KDE 4 and crashes, a new instance is started and crashes and so on. I had more than 100 drkonqi within a minute and because of the loop could not get any debug-info from it. Does anyone else see this? I would like to submit a bug report because I think it is a bug that KDE 4 starts knotifiy again and again although it crashes. It should stop after trying twice and give the user a chance to acknowledge the first crash/drkonqi window. When looking at the processes I see 1001 8162 41.0 0.9 30012 14504 ? R 10:38 0:00 drkonqi -display :1.0 --appname knotify4 --signal 11 --pid 8156 --appversion 4.0 --programname KNotify --bugaddress e/en_US/LC_MESSAGES/libc.mo --startupid 0 Does this mean that it uses KDE 3 drkonqi or is there no drkonqi4? knotifiy shows the /usr/bin which drkonqi does not. 1001 8156 45.2 0.8 43220 12576 ? [opensuse-kde] Default IRC Client

Hi, Kopete's IRC client (even getting it to start up) can be pretty confusing. Since Konversation will be shipped with all KDE-related media, why not make that the default IRC client? For new users it makes things an awful lot easier. Also, clicking on IRC links in Firefox (with the 1-CD KDE installation) doesn't launch anything. Could this be helped? Should I file bug? [opensuse-kde] New QT4 patch included yesterday?

Hello! Since yesterday I have a problem in Psi that the contact-list's account headings are not visible anymore. Before they showed the name of the account and a grey background, that background colour is now white and hence the text not visible. Packages were updated to 4.3.1, so if I report this to Psi it would be useful to know if it is only 4.3.1 or if there were new patches added compared to opensuse's 4.3.0 packages. Hello! What is the status of the KDE packages in the build-service? They are updated daily so is it worth reporting bugs or does a daily updated RPM not mean that it is updated to that day's SVN revision? For example for the last week the picture-frame plasmoid makes plasma crash, yet it seems to work for others as it is included in screenshots of beta 1. Anyway: openSUSE 10.2 release: 4.2.1-21, patch not present openSUSE 10.3 stable: 4.3.0.22, patch not present But libqt4 from the KDE:Qt buildservice project, by extension also KDE:KDE4: 4.30.0.83.1, patch present. This should be built for any recent/maintained suse version.
