I recently installed opensuse 13.2 on my laptop but I get random encoding
errors with non-kde applications (xchat, firefox, thunderbird, pdigin).
This lead from some letters are wrong enconded (e.g. 'g' shows up as a '3') up
to the case that half of the letters are shown as blanks.
This behavior appears as well in the menus.
KDE Platform Version: 4.14.9
In "system settings -> locale" I have:
Country= System Country (United Kingdom)
Preferred Language= British English
Available Languages= American English, Catalan
For the record /etc/sysconfig/language:
I have the feeling that the encoding errors are more when I restart the
computer with the applications left open.
Any idea what this could be and how to debug/fix this?
