[opensuse-kde] [Tumbleweed] Is LibreOffice coming back to KDE?

Will LibreOffice be available again for KDE? I could probably get used to the slight optical differences I encountered so far, but not with the fact that shortcuts have vanished (e.g. in the "Paste Special" dialog box) so I now need to use the mouse much more often than before. [opensuse-kde] Plasma 5.12 LTS beta coming to Tumbleweed

Hi everyone, so currently the Plasma 5.12 Beta seems to be in a very good shape already. It's currently in a staging together with KDE Frameworks 5.42, ready to be checked in. Until now we never submitted any Beta versions to TW, but we're about to change that! If there aren't any major objections, we'd like to mark 5.11.95 as ready to be accepted,which means it will end up in the snapshot 20180121. [opensuse-kde] password storage with kwallet used by svn client

Hi, I am not sure if this is a bug which comes in (from upstream?) at some points and then gets fixed again, or this has to do with my configuration: I frequently use the command line svn client in konsole accessing subversion repositories. A nice feature is that kwallet can be set to store the passwords, so I do not have to retype it every time. However, this seems to break sometimes after a szstem update and then after some time it works again. I have set password-stores = kwallet,gnome-keyring in my subversion config. Furthermore, I use tumbleweed with KDE Applications and KDE Extra repos enabled. Does anyone experience the same problem, and knows how to fix this? Do I have to start some daemon? [opensuse-kde] Krunner keeps crashing

For some time, in 80-90% of cases, when I use Krunner (Alt+F2), I start to type, and it crashes. If I start it again (e.g. by typing krunner into Konsole), it will crash again on next or second usage... I'm on TW with all updates (it happens on two computers). Hello, as KDE released the beta of the latest Plasma LTS version, preparations are ongoing to start the first rounds of testing, along with preparing it for inclusion in the upcoming Leap 15. Therefore, by tomorrow or so you should expect this version to land in KDE:Frameworks5 (along with KF 5.42). [opensuse-kde] systemsettings5 Startup and Shutdown scripts

Hi I have a startup and logout scripts that no seem to be executed at these times (not at all really). It appears that the last time the startup worked was Jan 7th (but can't be sure as i have run it manually a few times). The last logout script seems to have run 29th Dec 2017 - its my backup script. I run kdm so have set both "systemsettings" and "systemsettings5" to the same settings regards startup and shutdown and its been like that for a long except quite recently i had to reinstate them in "systemsettings5" as they disappeared - i guess this is when it all stopped working. [opensuse-kde] kmail: unknown akonadi error

When I right-click on several folders (but one in particular) in the left-side folder tree, all the folder names change to the color red and kmail locks up. These msgs are written to the akonadictl log: log_mixedmaildir: Error running ItemModifyJob: "[LLCONFLICT] Item was modified elsewhere, aborting STORE." log_mixedmaildirresource: "[LLCONFLICT] Item was modified elsewhere, aborting STORE." log_akonadicore: Received response with a different tag! log_akonadicore: Received response with a different tag! Running akonadictl restart clears the problem. I've searched through kde-bug reports for kmail and akonadi but didn't find anything that described this problem. Clearing the folder cache was no help. Google returned zero on the error message. Suggestions or insights? I have a problem with my kmail from Leap 42.3 One year ago I found a bug reported against the 42.3 version of leap at the kde bugzilla. Now what is happening: when you check for mail, the program will hang in the process (pop3) when you close the program and restart it, the first time it will segfault. I have not been able to get any backtrace although I have all debug packages installed and I also tried from console or with gdb. Nothing. Just a segfault. Then, when you restart, you will see that part of older mails appear as unread and duplicated. Run akonadictl fsck and you will see that a lot (about 690 items are marked as "no RID and dirty" (so no remote ID), about 60 are without RID and clean and three collections are listed "without RID". Data loss seem to occur, sometimes messages that did disappear do reappear again (as unread) and this even if they were already in the range of "scadenza" scheduled for being erased. But as they are unread, the date limits of unread messages apply of course. Filters seem not to be hit but the retrieval of pop3 mail is (in the sense that the accounts hang. I tried to clear the cache of the folders hit by this, I tried to reinstall forcefully all packages. Any idea what this could be? Any way of repairing it? I have an automatic archive that more or less shows the same size so the messages that are without RID should be there and I would be able to restore what I am loosing (just in case). The bug I found is more then a year old (and looks at 5.8. But I am seriously in doubt that anybody is interested in KDE of such an old version so any report would be closed anyway. So in the moment I am searching for a feasible workaround until leap 15 brings a bit of fresh air. [opensuse-kde] Kmail: Accessing image files inside html

Occasionally I receive email messages from Mac mail users that contain image files. I only just learned that Mac mail will send any message with an image as rich text; it is not possible to send the image in plain text. Kmail sees these messages as html. The images display properly. When I right-click on the image, the pop-up menu gives the option to "save image on disk" but the resulting save box only shows an internal id number of some kind (e.g. 26EC0F5D-A7A6-4EBF-AAB3-26272FC5122F) but not the image file. When I try "save attachments" I get a "found no attachments to save" error msg. Is there a way to save the image files from these messages? (It's very strange to me that the iphone mail apparently does not do this. Doing exactly the same thing on the phone as was done on MacOS, Kmail receives the message as "no html" displaying the image and containing the file as an attachment.)
