Hi Fellow KDErs,
I've been trying to remove the Dolphin and Firefox launchers from the bottom toolbar
without sucess. Every time after booting I remove them and the next restart/boot
they are back again.
Is there some way to remove them permanently?
Thanks, Tom

Hello List mates,
Has anyone noticed how much slower the folders seem to refresh.
When starting dolphin on first time start up, I'm seeing the folders
appear white and then turn blue as they are refreshing.
We did not see this in earlier version of KDE i.e openSUSE 11.4.
I am using an older computer from 2007 with a quad-core Q6600 and 4GB of
RAM.
Is this a problem with Qt and how can this be fixed?
Cheers!
Roman

Based on some initial feedback, I have to move the meeting to the Tuesday
before. So the new date is now
Tuesday 8 January 18:30 UTC (19:30 CET)
Regards
Raymond
---------- Forwarded Message ----------
It has been already some time since our last KDE Team meeting and in the
meantime a lot has happened. Therefore I would like to organize a new team
meeting again, however I don't think organizing it this week would be a good
idea as that still a lot of people might be away for holidays.
Next week would be better, but we can't do it on our normal Wednesday. On that
day we have the first openSUSE Project meeting on IRC where the new board
members will be participating.
So I would like to propose to have the meeting on Thursday 10 January instead.
The time would be at 18:30 UTC (19:30 CET).
I hope that everybody has time to do it on Thursday. Otherwise, please drop me
an email if you can't make it.
Regards
Raymond

I am still using 11.0. For some reason, upgrades don't work
on this box. Another problem for another day. Anyway
I upgraded firefox from 3.5 which was in the repo to 16.0.2.
I did it from their site, not a suse rpm, because there is
none for 11.0 anymore. I installed firefox
at /usr/bin/firefox /usr/lib/firefox /usr/bin/X11/firefox
Then I could not see videos. It told me to upgrade flash so
I did, from the site given in the error message. It is
installed at /usr/bin/flashplayer /usr/bin/X11/flashplayer
and /usr/lib/flash-plugin
KDE is 3.5.9
I still get the message that I need to upgrade flash and of
course, can't see any video such as youtube.
Video has been a problem. Firefox has shown them more
consistently than Konqi.
I may have conflicting or mixed up plugins and I really
don't have all the codecs I should.
How can I straighten all this out so I can see youtube etc?

Hello SuSE people
Running 12.2 with KDE4.9
I run 4 virtual desktops that appear in the pager on my task bar. I am
severely sight impaired and I cannot see the pager very well to choose my
deskttop because of it;s grey color.
Is there some way to modify that icon? Make it green or yellow or something? U
remember years ago that there was a utility/program ? that you coild nodify
or even make new icons. Anything out there like that yet?

Is there any specific reason, the libqt4 package aggregate is disabled in
KR49? For now we have been bundling the latest (stable) Qt version there as
well...

I noticed quite a lot of debug output in my .xsession-errors file or if a
program is started from a terminal, e.g.
Enchant dict for "en_GB" 0x309f5f0
I noticed that some packages individually got fixes like soprano adding this
upstream patch:
https://projects.kde.org/projects/kdesupport/soprano/repository/revisions/b…https://build.opensuse.org/request/show/142722
I'd like to apply this to kdelibs4 and potentially more packages if there are
no objections...

Running KDE 4.9.2 from the 49 repo (12.2, x64), have not updated
anything for ~6 weeks. My Kmail incoming filters have all been
working fine, no problem at all. A few days ago the filters just
stopped working on incoming (POP) messages. Once in the inbox I can
use the context menu Apply All Filters and the messages are all
filtered, but again, not as the messages are being received.
I know others have had problems with the Kmail filters, but since I
haven't but then problem later cropped up suddenly as it did, I'm
stumped on where to look.
Suggestions? (Is it safe to go to 4.9.3?)
TIA,

I have an IMAP account of which the server goes down each night. In 4.9.3 it
showed the status offline, even when the server was online again. A simple
Update Maps and Submaps brought it the back online.
But now with 4.9.4 it does not show the offline status anymore and and the
command Update Maps and Submaps does nothing. I have to log out and log in
again to get the waiting messages. Also the Restart in KMail Settings
apparently does nothing.
I reported in upstream https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=309245
Anybody else seeing this?
