Is there a tool to read mails from the console easily? I like to login with
ssh remotely sometimes and it would be nice to check for new mails then.
I prefered to use nmh to read mails in console but it uses a format which
seems to be slightly different from whatever kmail is using.
I did find a tool to convert my nmh mailbox to kde-maildir format but it's not
a very convenient.

Hi all,
I just upgraded to KDE 3.2, and since then I have a problem with
freetype2.
My configuration:
SuSE 8.1
XFree86-4.3.0-17 (8.1 update from
freetype2-2.1.3-36 ftp.suse.com)
Since the KDE upgrade I get a message window at KDE startup (before the
splash screen appears) which says something like "kdeinit failed", and
XFree86.0.log contains the following lines:
kdeinit: relocation error: /usr/lib/qt3/lib/libqt-mt.so.3: undefined
symbol: FT_Seek_Stream
startkde: Could not start kdeinit. Check your installation.
KDE comes up normally as it seems, and I didn't observe any problems up
to now (besides the message itself).
I found some hits in google with the same problem but other kde/freetype
versions, but no real solution, besides updating SuSE Linux which I
don't really want to do.
With freetype2-2.0.9-84.i586.rpm (original version from SuSE 8.1) the
kdeinit problem is gone, but then I face Xserver crashs on certain font
related actions, e.g. when selecting fonts in kde, opera etc., or just
running xfd -fn <any font>. So using freetype2-2.1.3-36 is the lesser
of two evils.
Is there anything I can do about it? Can I safely ignore this message?

Mario

After upgrading to KDE 3.2 neither Konqueror nor the SuSE help system do
work. When clicking the Konqueror symbol, the system displays an error
message "Service "Internet/konqbrowser.desktop" nicht auffindbar."
(="not available"). Can anyone help me repairing the system?
Regards,
Dominik

Could some kind soul please point me to the suseplugger source for SuSE 9.0
KDE 3.1.4? I have tried rpm and SuSE's site but my search does not find
anything obvious.
Thanks in advance.

Suse 8.1
Kde 3.1.4
quanta 3.1.4-18
Quanta has all of a sudden ceased to be able to use ftp
utls. ftp works in the cli and in Konqueror. this with
several sites in my bookmarks. Typing in a fresh url
doesn't help.
Any suggestions or thoughts

Hi,
just installed suse 9.0 and I get sig11 for some mails.
Starting kmail from terminal the messages are:
stefan@jarada:~> gpgmeplug checkMessageSignature status flags: 4
gpgmeplug checkMessageSignature found email: <modified1(a)address1.mail>
gpgmeplug checkMessageSignature found email: <modified2(a)address2.mail>
*** KMail got signal 11 (Crashing)
To cv the sig11 stuff I have to remove the two crypto plugin from kmail's setup.
Mail sender changed somthing in his MS outlook setup that introduced these sig11
Previous mail of him (not signed) didn't crash kmail.
from mail header with sig11:
X-Mailer: Microsoft Office Outlook, Build 11.0.5510
Thread-Index: AcP3q5EabI33KNCrRFOP7WHdWFS9Fg==
X-Accept-Language: en-us, en
Content-Type: multipart/signed;
micalg=MD5;
protocol="application/x-pkcs7-signature";
boundary="----=_NextPart_000_007E_01C3F7AB.CED9E2C0"
X-MimeOLE: Produced By Microsoft MimeOLE V6.00.2800.1165
So were to report this bug: suse, kmail, crypto-plugins, M$, ..

Until a couple of days ago I had no serious issues with Konqueror. Now
when I ask Konqueror to open a html file (local or remote) I get the
following error:
<Q>
There appears to be a configuration error. You have associated Konqueror
with text/html, but it can't handle this file type.
</Q>
A web browser that can't handle html ? =:0))
But seriously, I don't remember changing any configurations on this box
recently. Can anyone offer any pointers to the settings I need to adjust
to turn Konqueror back into a web browser?
TIA
Dave
