[opensuse-kde] Screen blanking when switching back to system when using hardware KVM.

I first asked about this on the factory mailing list but it was suggested I try this list. I have a hardware KVM that I use to switch between multiple computers. When I switch away from my Tumbleweed system with the KVM switch and return I have a blanked screen. The screen saver is disabled. Screen locker is disabled. DPMS is disabled. How can I disable this behaviour? I can do a CTRL-ALT-F1 and get a console when this happens. No amount of keyboard mashing restores the KDE screen. The only way to recover is to power cycle the system or issue a shutdown from a console. This system is not useful in this condition. Can this feature or bug be disabled? This is a HP Intel Core 2 Duo E8400 system Desktop with what hardware info tells me is "Intel Q33/Q35/G33 graphics. Steven -- ____________ Apply appropriate technology. [opensuse-kde] Dutch translations of KDE hardly used in openSUSE Tumbleweed

On my Tumbleweed system where I use a KDE desktop only a small number of messages are shown in Dutch. All of the common used KDE packages are translated in Dutch, so I would expect hardly any English messages on the Desktop. For instance the context menu of the desktop shows: Run Command Alt+Space Activities Alt+D, Alt+A Widges ontgrendelen Alt+D, L <= is in Dutch Lock Screen screensaver Leave Ctrl+Alt+Del Desktop instellingen Alt+D, Alt+S <= is in Dutch Is this something I should report upstream? Simply switch to activities was a good advice !!! Everthing is moved now to 4 activities in folderview mode and is identical to my previous virtualdesktop setup. I only mis te eyecandy (the cube animation). The only terrible thing is the widget "activity bar". Its ugly and consumes one third of my taskbar (4 activities), it has a reaction time of about 0.5 sec after multiple clicks. This bad. [opensuse-kde] Virtual desktops always identical

Hi folks, Does somebody have experience with virtual desktops in tumbleweed or the new milestone ? If i switch to a different wallpaper, then all desktops switch to that wallpaper. Where is the setting to have different wallpapers on each desktop ? If i switch the desktops to folderview and select a different desktopfile or desktop directory, all desktops switch to that desktopfile. Under any condition all desktops are allways identical. Dear maintainers, Packman has build now vlc 2.2.1 with libvlccore8 Unfortunately phonon-backend-vlc is linked to libvlccore7 available in the normal update channel.
