[opensuse-kde] First deadline comming up, last call for Community -> Factory moves

Heya, as coolo pointed out the deadlines for 11.2 are comming: http://lists.opensuse.org/opensuse-factory/2009-07/msg00314.html This means if you maintain a package in Community or just want something to end up in Factory you should propose this now on this list and provide an explanation what makes this important for the main repository, please keep in mind the Community repository will stay around, so no "I use xyz from community, so please move it into main repository" requests =) Arora and chokoq are already submitted or in review. Please know that you need to convince the KDE4:Factory:Desktop team with the request, they decide what goes in and what doesn't. [opensuse-kde] akonadi && KDE 4.3: Does it help me at all?

I've updated to the current KDE 4.3 version on my openSUSE 11.1 system and tried now to use akonadi - but I haven't figured out a single advantage of it: * I've added the imap resource but where is it used? Is it used by kmail at all? * It seems imap reads only my INBOX and not my other subscribed folders * I'm using groupwise for calendaring which worked fine previously but now my calendar in korganizer is completely empty (not that bad in some way but if you miss important meetings...) * Also the contacts from groupwise do not show up in kmail. So, I have now a mysql server running and some other processes - but see so far only regressions. Is there anybody that can help me to make real usage of akonadi or should I remove kdepim4-runtime and get rid that way of akonadi? [opensuse-kde] What is kde4-plasma-addons called now?

I'm going through the painful process of updating factory without the large download of zypper dup due to my limited cap. I see that kde4-plasma-addons is marked unmaintained what is it called now and is there somewhere I can find a list of old/new kde4 packages? [opensuse-kde] No KDEsu prompt opening System/KDM settings

Hi, Opening System_settings/System/KDM panel in KDE4.3 as a normal user the menu comes up with desabled grey fields without any KDE su dialog to ask the root password, so I cannot modify any KDM4 settings. [opensuse-kde] Composite / OpenGL settings for KDE4

Hello, I see KDE4 let you choose from different OpenGL modes ("texture from pixmap"...) when you use OpenGL for composite. Which of these settings are recommended? Especially, if NVidia chips are used. Or does it not make any difference regarding stability or performance? [opensuse-kde] using KDE4 file picker instead of GTK

Hi there, I know in Mozilla apps there is about:config and ui.platform_blabla but it does not work for me with Firefox 3.0.11. I wonder is there any way to make all GTK apps to use the KDE4 file picker by default? If there isn't, couldn't openSUSE develop such a thing for people who run KDE and want really smooth integration for GTK apps?
