What's the trick to make changes to this file stick through invocations of genkdmconf? Invoking genkdmconf keeps commenting out these two lines: #Theme=/usr/share/kde4/apps/kdm/themes/openSUSE #AllowShutdown=All This is no good since the actual defaults are apparently a "SUSE" theme (which doesn't exist and hence kdm doesn't start) and "root", which will put up a pesky password box that doesn't actually accept a password when I try to do a shutdown from my session. I have linked /var/adm/kdm/kdmrc.sysconfig to /dev/null to get rid of those pesky warnings that there are multiple sections of whatever in the config. If I don't do that kdm starts with the KDE theme... [opensuse-kde] KMail 4.8.4 pop3 filtering

I'm unable to get KMail of 12.2/4.8.4 to filter my (pop3) e-mails. The filters work fine when I trigger them manually (per mail) with ctrl+j, and the Mail Filter Agent is online and ready in akonadiconsole and I have restarted it many times - but whatever I do I can't get the stuff to filter my mails automatically on retrieval. I'm just curious if anyone is succesfully getting pop3 e-mails filtered with KMail from 4.8.4 on 12.2? If it's broken for everyone else too, then I won't waste more time on it. But if it's working for someone, then I should be able to make it work on my system too. My setup is as simple as they come. [opensuse-kde] No devel files for libkipi

Hey everybody! Does somebody know why if I compile libkipi from the digikam compilation, i.e. enable compiling private libs, no -devel files are installed. There are no files installed to %{_includedir}/libkipi/ Is this my packaging fault or digikam's? [opensuse-kde] Problem with keyboard in OpenSuSE 12.2 x86_64 and KDE 4.9.1

Hi. I installed OpenSuSE 12.2, initially after install I had two problems: - the PC uses a static IP, OpenSuse didn't save the DNS using Yast in resolv.conf. I had to make it manually. - the map keyboard is not the correct, I use "es". When I made login after boot the keyboard is not fixed, I have to go to Yast->Hardware->Keyboard and select Spanish. I could not resolve this last problem. I review the values in /etc/sysconfig/keyboard and /etc/sysconfig/language and look correct. Can someone help with this problem? Thanks in advance. [opensuse-kde] openSUSE greeter opens to show openSUSE 11.3 uses KDE 4.4 as its KDE desktop in 12.2

Hello List mates. The openSUSE greeter that opens "introduction to kde4" shows openSUSE 11.3 uses KDE 4.4 as its KDE desktop in the first paragraph. This has been in 11.4, 12.1 and now openSUSE 12.2!! And, I have submitted this to Bugzilla in 2012-08-04 00:43:21 thinking it would be fixed in 12.2 See below: https://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=774509 Can you _please_ _please_ have this fixed for the release of 12.3? [opensuse-kde] dejavu fonts

Hi, I am playing around with the dejavu fonts in KDE... Tryiing to set them System settings -> Application Appearance -> Fonts I get the following styles available DejaVu Sans: Extra Light, Bold, Condensed Bold, Book, Bold Oblique, Oblique, Condensed Oblique Condensed Bold Obliquem, Condensed, Light Oblique... if I use from system settings the font management facility for the same DejaVu sans: Book and Light Oblique are missing... I have i | dejavu-fonts | package | 2.33-4.1 | noarch | openSUSE-Factory-Oss Can someone enlighten me please on this issue? Hi, as a preparation of the openSUSE 12.2 announcement I've merged my latest maintenance update for 12.2 to KDE:Distro:Stable. Publishing is currently disabled, once it built and I was able to test it I'll enable it. KDE:Distro:Factory is now open for some KDE 4.9 merging fun. Anyone interested in helping with that?
