I am able to print without problems from KDE apps to both a local and a network printer. The printer is hosted on another linux box running Mandrake but the Desktop is SuSE. I can try KMail later but this has not caused me any issues with both picture and text only output so far. KDE 3.1.4

Hi where can I download the rpm-packages for KDE 3.1.4 for my ''old'' SuSE 7.3 distribution ? 3.1.4 is only availabel for SuSE 8.x but not for 7.3. Copy and Paste from vmware to kde 3.1.3

Hi out there, after upgrading my KDE 2.2.2 to 3.1.3 from the September 4th releases, the copy and paste from my vmware 3.x to any KDE application does not work. A copy and paste from vmware to a non-KDE-application like nedit works. Is this a known problem, and what can I do to make it work ? Absturz von KMail beim Versuch Datei anzuhängen

Hallo, Ich habe sowohl in der Liste als auch bei google (fast) nichts zu meinem Problem gefunden, deshalb hier die Anfrage an die Liste. Ich verwende derzeit SuSe 8.2 mit KDE 3.1.1 und KMail 1.5.1, alles von der SuSe CD installiert bzw. über SuSe gepatcht. Wenn ich bei einer neuen Mail den Button "Datei anhängen" oder die Funktion aus dem Menü auswähle, stürzt KMail mit der üblichen Fehlerbox ab. (Rückverfolgung ist dann leer). Die aktuellen Patches habe ich automatisch von SuSe holen und installieren lassen. Die Maschine ist neu gestartet. Den einzigen Hinweis, den ich bei google gefunden habe, ist 2 Jahre alt und lautet "da hast du wohl KDENetwork übersehen!" Daraus werde ich leider nicht schlau... Gimp is also very good and has a handy delay function before it takes a shot of either the full screen or active window (you choose). screen shot does not work

i am using SuSE 8.2 with KDE. i try to capture the screen using the keys ALT+PRINT or CTRL+PRINT, nothing happen. the clipboard is alway empty. i checked that the use key sequence are active in the control center (general key settings). Are there other setting that are needed to capture a screen or is there an application that i have to install before i can use ALT+PRINT on KDE? any help are welcome. Theo

KOrganiser Event recurrence trouble...

Good day, KDE 3.1.3 on SuSE Linux 8.2 Professional. I have tried to set up KOrganiser to remind me to make a backup every 1st day in every 3rd month, starting July 1st 2003. I expected a reminder on October 1st, but it did not show up. Did I miss something when I set up the event? These are the settings of my Event: I have filled in the "General" tab like this: I have filled in "Summary", "Location" and a long description in the big text field near the bottom. The start date is set at 2003-07-01. I have enabled "Recurring event" and "No time associated" (so the end date is the same as the start date, and the duration says "1 Day"). I have enabled "reminder" and set it to 1 minute. I have filled in the "Recurrence" tab like this: I have selected "Monthly" and "Recur on the 1st day ever 3 month(s)". There is no ending date an no exceptions. I have saved the whole thing and made it active. Alarms are enabled, and the alarm client starts every time I log in. Best regards :o) Johnny :o)

Sondertasten und suse...

So ein kappes. Logitech Cordless Desktop MX. KDE 3.1.4 auf SuSE 8.2 Pro. in xev seh ich _alle_ tasten mit schönen namen, auch so sondertasten wie z.b. XF86Mail usw usw. Im KDE Menüeditor kann ich auch alle tasten verwenden. Aber kmail z.b. kennt nur eine Teilmenge davon... Wenn ich mir nun mal ankucke wo die rpm pakete herkommen, seh ich dass kdebase3 auf einem anderen rechner gebaut ist als kdenetwork3... anscheinend mit unterschiedlichem XFree... klasse Sache das. insgesamt verwendet SuSE anscheinend richtig viele rechner zum bauen der pakete: lemmy@gildor:~> rpm -qa --queryformat="%{BUILDHOST}\\n"|sort -u|grep suse|wc -l 153 einhundertdreiundfünfzig verschiedene. mindestens. Ob die wirklich alle genau gleich installiert sind? Warscheinlich nicht. Sonst würde ja auch kooka noch gehen nach dem kde 3.1.4 update. xsane und xscanimage tun ja auch noch. [KDevelop] ein project mit CVS anlegen?
