Fullscreen pb with some apps under kde suse9.0

Hi, I can't toggle tvtime, ogle and xawdecode in fullscreen mode under kde 3.1.4 SuSE 9.0 (MPLayer and xine work fine). When i press F... nothing append. This append only under kde and both on my dell desktop (Geforce2)) and medion laptop (radeon9000). No problems under windowmaker, blackbox or XFCE. They all use xv as video output. I allready experiment this issue with SuSE 8.2 since SuSE realesed kdelibs3-3.1.3-68 if i remember. Then I downgrade to kdelibs3-3.1.3-48 and everything worked fine again. Maybe a kwin bug ? Konqueror/KHTML 3.1.x Text Display Problems

Hi, I'm running SuSE 8.1, but have upgraded KDE and XFree with the SuSE RPMs. I now have XFree 4.3.0 and KDE 3.1.4 Since upgrading to KDE 3.1.x Konqueror has had trouble displaying text on certain websites. An example of this is http://www.kdevelop.org. Just before the stylesheet loads, all of the text renders, but as soon as the stylesheet is applied all the text disappears and the HTML page increases massively in width. I can select the invisible text and it seems like the characters are all spaced out, which is what causes the page to become very wide. Opera 7.21 (Shared) QT displays all such pages ok, so I don't think it's a X Windows problem. I think it is something to do with how it substitutes fonts when QT cannot match the font family exactly with a font from the available list. I have tried a few different settings with qtconfig, but nothing seems to work, except turning QT's anti-aliasing off. Then all fonts display in Konqueror, but of course they all look horrible. Has anyone else experienced this? Any clues as to what config I need to change to fix it? TIA -- Colin Pinkney http://www.cpinkney.org.uk

Konqueror Can't Handle HTML?

Konqueror seems to have suddenly lost the plot. Now when I try to open an html link it displays a message asking if I want open or save the file, but if I select open it displays the following nonsense: "There appears to be a configuration error. You have associated Konqueror with text/html, but it can't handle this file type." I don't recall changing any file associations or other configurations recently, but obviously I must have done something to upset Konqueror. import kmail account from SuSE 8.2 to 9.0

Hello list, SuSE 8.2 and 9.0 installed on the same machine. Under 8.2 Kmail is perfectly configured (Filters...) and I'd like to import this account to my 9.0. My question : Is it as simple as just copying the folder /home/user/mail from 8.2 to 9.0 ? Any hints ? best regards C. Emden

Kompare with scroll problem

Kompare normally scrolls the two compared files simultaneously. On my laptop, the two filewindows do scroll each alone, the 'coupling' of the windows does not work. Did anyone see this, too? Any clues? Martin

Lost theme/style after upgrade

Hi, I just upgraded from SuSE 8.1 to 9.0 i.e. KDE 3.0.5 to KDE 3.1.4. I realised that SuSE gave KDE a new standard theme called SuSE that I don't like. So I changed, but what was or is the name of the old standard theme of KDE given to SuSE 8.1? I actually prefer the old standard theme but failed to find it anywhere. Bye Jonathan

I tried using kcron yesterday to schedule xmms to wake me up this morning, the way I've been using kalarm up to now (8.2/KDE 3.1.1). Well nothing happened at 7:00. Could the kalarm daemon be interfering with it since it's still running in the system tray with the alarm daemon still activated, although I deleted the particular alarm involved? Matching line breaks with regexps

Hello Does anyone know how to match a line break with a regexp in a KMail filter. Urgent: Sending in KMail: 'Sender address does not exist' (?)

Hello all, (SuSE 8.2) I don't know what happened, KMail don't want to send any mail and write that message ('Sender address does not exist') instead. Of course, sender has address, it can be even seen in From field of composer. What's worse, when I click on first mail (and then on second, etc) in Outbox, KMail deletes it (without leaving a copy!) and mail: 'from: nobody, subject: no subject', i.e. an empty mail. Is it possible to do something without upgrade? Thank you in advance. Nikola

Where do you set dpi for Xserver

Hi all, I need to change the dpi of my screen, but I can't find out where to do it. I use Suse 8.2, kde 3.1.4 and Xfree86 server 4.3.0.111. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks
