Using latest Plasma on Wayland (oS tumbleweed), if I switch to the linux console, then back to Wayland, only the mouse pointer appears on either monitor. Also, it seems that the position of the monitors as configured in Wayland becomes incorrect, as the mouse pointer does not move from one monitor to another, as it should. All programs in the Wayland session remain running normally and I have to use:
to kill them and start sddm. Is this a known issue?
I have released a new version of liquidshell (1.8), which is in KDE:Extra.
What is the correct procedure to request an update of it in KDE:Extra ?
Best regards/Schöne Grüße

This is the now traditional yearly reminder: openSUSE Leap 15.2 support ends
According to https://en.opensuse.org/Lifetime, this will happen on Dec. 31.
The Leap 15.2 repositories for KDE:Frameworks5, KDE:Applications, KDE:Extra,
KDE:Qt5 and KDE:Qt6 will be dropped after this date. This also applies to the
unstable KDE repositories.
Using : Leap 15.3 up to date with KDE.
In about 1 of 10 reboots the file
'plasma-org.kde.plasma.desktop-appletsrc' is replaced with a default one.
The result of this replacement is that my desktop is also default.
My simple solution is copy the file from a backup.
My question: What can be the reason of the replacement of this config file ?
Can you update the Qt 5.15 from KDE again?
With the Qt from KDE pt_BR become a shipped language but I discover 2
mistakes which make the translation unusable
With this MR I fix it (on Qt for all branches and in KDE' Qt 5.15). So
can you update just the qttranslation module to a recent git version?
after I tried KDE/Plasma/Wayland on Debian/testing AMD64 I inspired my
colleague Joop Boonen to test it on OpenSuse/tumbleweed.
Everything was fine besides Primary Selection (middle-mouse to paste),
so I stopped using Plasma/Wayland.
Joop is able to use primary selection in every application (KDE or GTK).
So, I was surprised.
Here on KDE/Plasma 5.12.5 I cannot do that (for example cut-n-paste in
konsole via middle-mouse paste into firefox).
I asked on the wayland-devel ML with no answer.
The retired KWin maintainer wanted to have this feature in
wayland-protocols before implementing it in KWin/Plasma/Wayland.
So, what magic did you do in OpenSuse?
has references on how Gnome did it in mutter.
Or can you point me to the relevant packages with name (sources and patches)?
Thanks in advance.

Dear openSUSE KDE Team,
The past few weeks a few of us Plasma lovers came together and decided that instead of just talking, filing bug reports and making requests we would like to take part of the way Plasma is creted and shipped for the rest of the project.
In this we turn to you and offer our help where it is needed. We're happy and eager to learn and help out.
I assembled a "short" list of volunteers who would be interested in helping out in the project:
Adrien: A Haskell and Python fanboy with great coordination skills, contributor at the openSUSE docs project, helping out the news and communities, close to get his PhD.
Andi: 32 years old, coming from Gießen (Hessen,Germany). Using Linux over 5 years - Fedora user; Fedora contributor; Silverblue, openSUSE TW/MicroOS "enthusiast"; Hacking skills: Python, Java, C, C++.
Andres: An electrical engineer student, knows a few things about specfiles and how the KDE team manages the releases, currently digging through the release scripts at https://github.com/openSUSE/KDEteam.
Jens: Has a small bio on his wikipage: https://en.opensuse.org/User:KaratekHD.
"I don't really know what I want to learn from this, but I'll definitely learn something useful and I just want to work on openSUSE KDE, since the two open source projects I enjoy the most are openSUSE and KDE."
Onuralp: Working as a Mechatronic Engineer also working as Fedora Mindshare Council Member, Fedora KDE Sig Member, Fedora packager. Has experience wit Qt, QML, cpp, and started opencv/AI education. Fedora user in the past ~10 years.
Lastly, myself: "DevOps" engineer, small business owner with some Python knowledge, openSUSE docs contributor, with some experience in packaging for other distros, fast learner, openSUSE and Plasma lover, FOSS enthusiast in the past 18 years.
To help our efforts and maybe an easier way of getting to know each other I would suggest maybe a video call on meet.opensuse.org. We know that you're very busy, so this bit is optional, but we found that communication moves things faster. Either way feel free to point us to a direction where we can get in touch, what is it that we need or recommended to learn and see where and how we can work together.

That's right. I just cleaned the moderation queue after returning from
vacation. In case anyone else wants to take over or additionally
moderate the list, please shout.
