[opensuse-kde] KDE:/Distro:/Factory (KDF) ready

after upgrading to openSUSE 12.1 i switched from KDF to KDE:/Release:/48, since the KDF repos where a little late publishing 4.8. today i checked and found that 4.8 has been published to KDF as well, and upgraded accordingly. everything went smooth, and a couple problems i saw with KDE:/Release:/48, like thumbnails for .xcf (GIMP) files not showing in gwenview & digikam anymore, have been disappeard after the upgrade to KDF. it's supposed to be less stable than the Release:/ repos, but in my experience it's much better, since bug fixes show up earlier. -- phani. -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-kde+unsubscribe(a)opensuse.org To contact the owner, e-mail: opensuse-kde+owner(a)opensuse.org

Hi, I recently switched to KDE4.8.0, on openSUSE 12.1, from release repo. I have just discovered that it seems impossible to enable the columns view in dolphin. [opensuse-kde] Dolphin (kde4.8) has video thumbs issue (Delay on context menu actions)

OS 12.1 KDE 4.8 from Release 48 repo Only tested on _64 system Open dolphin on a video dir with mplayer of ffmpeg thumbs enabled and I get intense HD activity and a delay in the availability of context menu actions (Eg; right click > delete) After about 10-15 seconds normal functions return The same issue only returns if dolphins has been unused for some time (In the same session) or if you start a new session (logout/login) Difficult one to put a finger on. [opensuse-kde] Strigi stopped and now inaccessible

I have stopped the Strigi file indexation and just after that the window gets frozen and I can't access to start it again (Nepomuk settings window doesn't open up). Even through the nepomuk icon the start/stop indexing option does not work. [opensuse-kde] kwallet and ksshaskpass when logging in via kdm

Hi everybody, when logging in from kdm ksshaskpass wants to know my passphrase for my ssh-key, that's fine. And because I stored that password within kwallet, ksshaskpass asks kwallet to hand over that passphrase and I have to unlock that wallet by entering the passphrase for the wallet. The problem is that I just cannot enter this passphrase, and - when hitting ESC - I also cannot enter the passphrase ksshaskpass asks me for. The cursor is blinking in the "password"-field but I cannot type anything there. Can anybody give me a hint how to fix this? To clarify on my complaint/request: I am not interested in a pam-plugin or similar that automagiacally unlocks the wallet when logging in via kdm, I just want to be able to enter the password for kwallet and/or ksshaskpass. Currently I am running the KDE 4.8 packages from the OS 12.1 KDE Factory repository but as far as I can remember this also doesn't work with KDE 4.7.4.
