[opensuse-kde] kmail not respecting seen flag anymore

Hi, at about the time when this favorite folders subwindow was added to kmail ( a few weeks ago), it started to ignore the seen flag of mails arriving. I set this flag via sieve script on the server for identified spam when those mails are sorted into the spam folder of my imap-account. :-( Additionally, if mails have been read on one machine with kmail (seen flag should be set), they are listed as new unread mails when viewed later with kmail. I wonder if other users have observed this too. [opensuse-kde] kmail threading problem

Hello SuSE people, Just installed 10.3 a couple of days ago and imported all of my old kmail settings. Kmail 1.9.6 enterprise is driving me crazy with the way it is threading messages.When I download new mail it is mixed in with all of the old mail left in my inbox/folder in the message list. eg: Bunch of new mail for Oct. 10th starts behind a July then comes a May, then a Dec. 2006. Then more new mails followed by an April, then Feb., then more new mail, etc.etc. Can't find the way to make it thread by date or order of arrival. Yes I've done the Settings > Appearance > Message List thing at least 15 times. There is no option under threading for Order of arrival. Is it me? Am I missing something? Anybody else see this? Is there a config file? Is it a bug? Anybody can help? Whoops!! Just noticed something. Kmail seems to be threading the messages alphabetically from the subject line ! Weird! It was introduced by some safety checks to avoid crashes in the parser. Unfortunately this checks made the parser VERY slow, so no wonder people seeing several seconds delays with some bigger documents. I changed the checks, while still keeping them. The result is impressive, my big test document (700KB, 12000 lines) parses in about 350ms compared to the 3.5.7 version where the same operation took 11-14seconds(!). Switching away from this document to an empty one took no less than 48-50seconds, while now it is around 60ms. Also the checks were not completely correct, so 3.5.7 could still crash. Now 3.5.8 not only that it should be stable, but it should be also almost as fast as the previous 3.5.x versions, prior to 3.5.7. 3.5.8 will be tagged on Sunday, but I ask those who are used to compile from source to download the latest version from the Subversion repository[1] and test it. [opensuse-kde] Output from kdDebug() is no longer visible

Hello, Since a recent kde 3 package update I'm no longer able to see the output of kdDebug() in the console. In `kdebugdialog --fullmode` the output is set to "shell" though. This happened after updating KDE 3 packages. Currently I have kdelibs3-3.5.7-79.2 installed. Is this caused by a bad setting elsewhere, or some compilation flag with the latest KDE packages? I also have KDE 4 installed (kdelibs4-3.93.0.svn712047-3.2), but I don't expect this is the problem here (unless kde 4 overrules some config file). Can't try any of those things because now the KDE update won't install because every package has a conflict with kdelibs3 error: file /opt/kde3/lib/libvcard.so.0.0.0 from install of kdelibs3-3.5.7-79.2 conflicts with file from package kdelibs3-32bit-3.5.5-45.4 Now I have to find out what that is all about. Hello I'm trying to change iconsize in Kickoff menu by command: kwriteconfig --file kickerrc --group menus --key MenuEntryHeight 20 and restart the panel dcop kicker Panel restart but unsuccessfully.It isn't working for me:-( Is any other way how could i change iconsize in Kickoff (not K menu)?
