hello, after installing kMail I want to change the default-sorting for ALL directories (by date - up). How can I do this, because I don´t want to click all directories and every sub-directory?

Hello. After updating SuSE 9.0 by KDE 3.4.1 I have no any cyrillic chars in the menu of some programms like MPlayer, Audasity, etc. tell me, please, what I will change to retturn my font settings? With previos KDE ( 3.1.4) thera cyrillic chars. Yuriy.

Kdm autologin user information; autologin fails

Hi, I'm using kdm and mwm as windowmanager. Now, when I configure a user for autologin by adding the correct settings for kdmrc I've got 2 problems: - going from non-autologin to autologin it is not enough to send a SIGHUP to kdm. I've got to restart kdm to get this working. - going from autologin user1 to user2 gives a error message 'authentication fails'. After a normal login procedure with user2 and a restart of kdm it works. So my question: does anyone knows how to fix this? Where does the displaymanager (I think this is a general thingy and not kdm specific) stores it's user authentication data? Regards Harry

color of the language keyboard tool icon in KDE 3.4.1

Dear members: I´ve just updated my SuSE 9.3 KDE 3.4 to 3.4.1 using the packages at SuSE mirrors (supplementary/KDE). After the update the little icon that shows the current keyboard selection grayed out and now looks really ugly. Earlier it was colored. Is this a bug or have I to set the color myself somehow? k-menu not showing items that appear in k-menu edit

SuSE 9.0 KDE 3.1.4 When I edit the k-menu there are submenus in the Development menu that have items with commands, etc. They show up when editting the k-menu, but when I click on the "Start Applications" icon on the taskbar, the resulting menu does not have a Development item. What must I do to get Development to appear in the "Start Applications" menu?

Bluetooth, OBEX, address conflict

Hi I upgraded from SUSE9.2 to SUSE9.3. Now I can not use the Bluetooth OBEX object push client (V0.3.0) anymore (it worked excellent in SUSE9.2). By scanning the devices my bluetooth mobile won't be detected anymore? If I use hcitool scan, the mobile is detected. KDE behaviour like Windows or MAC (Einrichtungs-Assistent)

Sorry for my stupid question, but I am really lost: On my DEBIAN system there is a way to make KDE (the mouse) behave like MAC or WINDOWS (e.g.: double click instead of single click on an icon to start a program). In German it's called "Einrichtungs-Assistent). On my SUSE 9.3 system I am still not able to find a possibility to do the same (am I too stupid??). Who can help me (and maybe others)? Helmut

Hallo, hat jemand von euch erfolgreich kcall im Einsatz? Ich habs noch nicht geschafft, sondern immer bei make install (ja, erst da!) abhängigkeitsprobleme mit irgendwelchen crypto - apis oder bibliotheken bekommen.
