KDE behaviour like Windows or MAC (Einrichtungs-Assistent)
Sorry for my stupid question, but I am really lost: On my DEBIAN system there is a way to make KDE (the mouse) behave like MAC or WINDOWS (e.g.: double click instead of single click on an icon to start a program). In German it's called "Einrichtungs-Assistent). On my SUSE 9.3 system I am still not able to find a possibility to do the same (am I too stupid??). Who can help me (and maybe others)? Helmut

Well, I don't know about most people, but I can never find what I want in the KDE control center. Don't get me wrong, I don't want all those nifty options taken away, I just generally have a hard time finding what I want.

I can! I can! KDE Control Center (from the KDE menu) -> Peripherals --> Mouse ---> General ----> Icons -----> Double-click to open files and folders (select icons on first click)

I don't have a problem at all. But going to Control Panel > View > Mode > Tree Mode allows the average user to get accustomed to the nested tree a little bit better. But also going to the Search tab will allow you to find things more easily also. -- Thanks Again, Joel Webb President and CEO WebbGroup Network Systems L.L.C. Well, I did not buy 9.3 in SuSE 9.2 it's in pripheral - mouse in Mepis (Debian based, KDE 3.3) also Does 9.3 use a different version of KDE? Thierry -- The problem with the world is stupidity. Not saying there should be a capital punishment for stupidity, but why don't we just take the safety labels off of everything and let the problem solve itself? Frank Zappa
