How to change attachname charset

When I send an attachment with accent name like questionário.doc, the evolution 1.4.6 or KMail uses the follow headers to the SMTP Server: Content-Disposition: attachment; filename*=iso-8859-1''question%E1rio%2Edoc Content-Type: application/msword; name*=iso-8859-1''question%E1rio%2Edoc The SMTP server lost the file name and convert the to an ATTXXXXX.DAT file name. If a send a non accent filename none charset is used and the original filename is preserved. Does Anyone know where to configure attachment charset in KDE, I've just found message body charset in KMail and Evolution ?

K3bSetup

I just installed SuSE 9.1 and when running K3b for CD burning, it warns on startup that I need to run cdrecord as root. The solution is to run K3bSetup, but I cannot find this setup program. Can someone offer guidance on how to run the setup? -- Robert

Help: Kmilo plugin for thinkpad

Hi, I installed KDE 3.3 beta SUSE binary on my IBM thinkpad laptop and see this KMilo plugin for Thinkpad laptop in the KDE control panel. It's similar to tpb program but is integrated with KDE. However I could not get it to work. The configuration in the kde control center doesn't show any errors but no indicator window opens when I change volume, brightness, ... Can somebody help? kde-console: swiss-german keyboard

dear kde-gurus, what config file (/etc/sysconfig/keyboard ???) should i customize for my swiss-german keyboard to work correctly in the kde-console (x-terminal, kde-console 1.1.3, kde 3.0.3). actually there is a value YAST-Keyboard="german,pc104" this does not reflect all keys correct. any ideas ?? thanx alot bert ps: suse 8.1

KDE TV apps/Pinnacle PCTV

Hi, since moving to Suse 9.1 Pro from Gentoo (bored of dealing with etc-update Hell) I have only one major problem. I have a Pinnacle TV card (can't remember the model, BT878 chip though) and none of the KDE TV apps work properly. Picture is fine but the sound is just white noise. The sound output from the card runs into the line in on the onboard sound (SIS 7012) and worked fine under Gentoo but no matter what I fiddle with I cannot make it work in Suse 9.1 Pro. I've verified it as working with WinXP (gotta be able to play GTA:VC) so it's definitely a config problem but I have no idea what. I have searched and found several other similar reports from Suse users round the net but as yet none of them had a reply with a solution. Anyone any ideas? Gayle

Hi List What have I done to my favourite Kmail. The messages show up in the messages box but nothing shows up anymore in the so called preview pane. In the settings ---layout I have ticked the preview pane to show below the message list. Anybody an idea what happened here or better how i can fix this? /bill

changing timezones

Sometime my KDE timezone changes to Moscow or Tokyo randomly. YAST always remembers what my realtimezone is, but my KDE (Clock) configuration switches from "Show Local Timezone" to some other worldwide timezone. When I click back on "Show Local Timezone", all is well. Does anyone else see this happening? Thanks! -Eric
