k3b packman package

Trying to install the k3b-0.11.10-0.pm.1.i586.rpm package for SuSE 9.1 and receiving a Warning that kdelibs3 need to be 3.2.2 or later. I have 3.2.1, can't find kdelibs package at packman. Does anyone know where to get the kdelibs 3.2.2 package? -- Robert

Moving KMail conf files and also emails to new installation.

I would like to copy the complete setup for KMail from my old machine to my new machine; including profiles, filters, emails and folder setup. Can I ; 1. Copy the .kmailrc conf file from the old machine over the top of the KMail configuration file on the new machine (all profile details will be the same). 2. Create the new folders in KMail (on the new machine) and then copy the email files using cp and preserving timestamps and permissions. The result that I am after is a carbon copy of the KMail (complete with emails (with correct arrival dates,read,unread flags etc...) filters etc...) on the old machine, transferred to the new machine. KDE andMySQL

Hi, I seem to be having a problem with getting KDE to talk to MySQl. KDE, andany other app that relies on the QT connection won't work. But, OpenOffice.org, etc does. Since OOo works, as does mysqlcc, then I think the database itself is ok. But, I can't make use of rekall or konqueror to update my tables. Whenever I try to add a new line, I get an error message saying that my SQL statement is incorrect. I tried upgrading to the latestand greatest KDE, but this didn't fix anything. I browsed back until February to see if anyone else is having this problem. Thanks andy

Also wirklich, cups und yast, die beiden sind schlimmer als Dick und Doof! Zuerst hatte ich plötzlich keinen Zugriff auf den remote Drucker aus acroread (sonst schon), dann (auf dem Drucker-Server-pc selbst) kam yast nie über das lesen der cups.conf hinaus, da war wohl lt. /var/log/cups/error.log ein paar faule Zeilen (von mir nicht!), und als ich nach meheren reboots und ein paar Stunden die cups.conf einfach gelöscht habe (weil yast immer dort stecken blieb), ging yast zwar weiter, aber cups geht jetzt überhaupt nicht mehr! yast kann keinen cups damon starten: 100 mal "kann cups.conf nicht lesen", die cups.conf gibt es überhaupt nur mehr mit 10 Zeilen (nach endlosen Neu-Inst. Sessions via yast: alles neu installieren, aktuelle Installation löschen, .... immer der gleiche Mist! nach Eingabe aller Infos in yast (Drucker richtig erkannt ect, aber kein Ausdruck: printer-dings kann nicht gestartet werde, kann cups.conf nicht lesen. Wie ich schon sagte, habe alles ausprobiert: alles löschen.. alles neu installieren.. speichern erzwingen ... Weiß jemand einen Ausweg? Calli

collapse thread keyboard shortcut in kmail

After configuring KMail to show the mails in thread, I love the option to collapse the thread and then delete it in one go. However, is there a keyboard shortcut to collapse a thread? This would really speed up deleting unwanted threads. Thanks, Eric

NM: Ximean Evolution . How to backup address book and mailbox ??

Hi there I need to share a common addressbook between two machines The Idea is to make a backup of the addressbook on one machine and feed the other machine with this data Unfortunatly they dont have a export feature which make this a problem in the event of hardware failure or hardware changes (removable drives) Does any one know which files I need to backup ? Does any one know how to change the default folder to another so you could restore from saved files in another folder? Hi :) No problems til now. I use it on a 9.1 Pro, just rpm -Uvh *.rpm and it works. Well, to be honest, Konqueror sometimes is a bit of a resource hog :( I use it on my laptop (ASUS L4R: ATI Mobility Radeon 9100 IGP) and at home (K7 1300 MHz, nVidia).
