Hello, with Leap 42.3 out in the wild, the Unstable repositories will be removed for 42.2 within a week, on Sunday August 6th. This means that the following repositories for Leap 42.2 will be removed: - KDE:Unstable:Frameworks - KDE:Unstable:Qt - KDE:Unstable:Applications - KDE:Unstable:Extra Repositories with shipped versions (like KDE:Applications and KDE:Frameworks5) will be unaffected. [opensuse-kde] Failing to get a KDE desktop (with Plasma5)

Hello - I am running a desktop system using openSuSE Leap 42.2 x64 and after receiving and installing a set of updates I can no longer bring up the KDE desktop with Plasma. I am in need of some kind KDE guru to help me fix this problem and have been advised to join this forum and ask for help here. I started a thread on the opensuse(a)opensuse.org forum titled "Failing to get login screen or desktops" that will help explain my problem and show the progress I have made so far trying to resolve this issue. (Sorry, that thread is rather long and will take a bit of time to grok.) In a nutshell, the only window manager I can get running is ICEWM. All the KDE variants give me an error message saying "Could not start kdeinit5. check the installation." and will not allow me to proceed any further. I have managed to get the KDM display manager working so at least I do get to the login screen. Hello, this is a quick mail to inform you that KDE:Applications holds now the latest 17.04.3 release. For Tumbleweed users without the use of KDE:* repositories, kgeography will not be upgraded. This is due to a problem with one of the Frameworks currently in Tumbleweed itself, which will get fixed once KF 5 .36 will hit TW (the submission is already underway). [opensuse-kde] Deactivating application menu bar

Hi , I have a problem I activated the application menu bar in an upper panel. Unfortunately it turns out that with more then one display it does not really makes sense, or only if the app always runs on the same display, because the menu does not move if you move the appliciation. So I deleted the panel containing the menu. Unfortunately Kontact at least does not recognize that the panel is missing and so has no menu options anymore. Where can I disable this. I already tried to configure a new panel, unfortunately can't recreate the global menu right now. Hello, can any help to find out, the correct file for deleting or correcting when I have this Error! "Could not create collection trash, resourceId: 3" This Error is NEW on my system. I mean after a update a USER config with the last KMAIL from the Repository KDE:..42.2 I installed now the Beta 42.3 but Error exist ?
