I've an internal ipv6 working network (which is usable with traditionnal setup in YaST) Now in kde, with NMP, I can't get any ipv6 ip. I've ask on factory ml and here the answer given by Gnome/xfce users i'm having IPv6 capabilities at home as well and my NM correctly recieves V6 addresses. What I had to do though was to 'enable' V6 for NM (edit the connections, select your connectiong, like Auto eth0, and on the IPV6 tab don't set it to ignore. [opensuse-kde] network connection no longer shows last date used for connection eth0

Hello Listmates, When I was using openSUSE 11.3 with KDE 4.5. I was able to see the date last used next to eth0. In openSUSE 11.4 KDE 4.6 - next to eth0 it now shows "Never". It should show the last date used. Navigate to Configure Desktop --> Network Settings Network Connections --> Wired Any thoughts Cheers! [opensuse-kde] sort by surname in kontact addressbook on 11.4

I've installed opensuse 11.4 and imported my std.vcf file from my previous opensuse 11.2 with KDE 4.3.5. However, I'm having difficulty sorting the entries into the normal, for me at least, addressbook format of lastname+firstname. There seems to be no way of reordering the 'full name' entry so that the lastname comes first, except by editing each individual entry - a daunting prospect with hundreds of business and personal contacts. Furthermore, since there is only an option to display the 'full name', I can't see how to sort the addressbook by surname only, which to me is normal addressbook format. I think I must be missing something and would appreciate some pointers to go about what I assume should be a fairly simple procedure. [opensuse-kde] I'm getting a multimedia-related KDE crash once every start up.

Hello, I just installed a new machine with Opensuse 11.4 & KDE from the /46/ repository. Everything seems to be working but every time I boot up I get a crash report (I included it below). I can just dismiss the dialog box and everything keeps working OK. I looked around on the mailing lists and didnt find anybody's similar problem so it might be my fault. Hello all, The bug https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=267636 with QtCurve has been fixed upstream with 4.6.1 It no longer crashes when switching presets. [opensuse-kde] Icons of applications "minimized" to system tray not visible

Clean install of oS 11.4 / KDE 4.6 (32-bit version). I can't see the icons of the applications that minimize themselves to system tray. I noticed it with krusader, but then tried another application with the same effect. I tried setting the "visibility" for krusader and another application to "always visible" and it did not help. BTW, krusader disappeared from the list of "entries" after that, though it was still running. I've found the bug #68052: https://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=680521 , describing this situation, but the reporter closed it as "Resolved" after his system magically cured itself. I've also seen the discussions on oS 11.3+KDE4.6 exhibiting this issue, but the solution there was removing the factory repos. I do not have any. I've attached the screenshot illustrating this issue and my list of repositories to the bug. Somebody else experienced this issue? Should I re-open the bug? [opensuse-kde] How to add an application ot the panel in KDE 4.x???

Hi Folks, I want to add a program button to the KDE panel. However, this is not as easy as it was in 3.x. As fr as I can see, I can only add widgets tp the panel, and in this widgets I don't find any program buttons as Eclipse, XEmacs or Kmail. Under KDE 3.x it was possible to add complete program menues to the panel. E.g I have added Eclipse as a menue, and in this menue contained three different Eclipse programs. How can I add applications seen with "kmenuedit" to the KDE panel under 4.x? [opensuse-kde] PolikcyKit permission problem

Hi, Running oS11.4, the permission settings in System settings / Actions policy are ignored, leading to error messages such as "System policies prevent you from getting the brightness level" in a dialog box asking for root's password every time the screensaver stops, and similar error messages when attempting to mount removable media. Has anyone else seen this? Any hints to fix this are welcome. Hi, in home:kfreitag:Kraft I build kraft for quite some repos, in preparation to move kraft to KDE:Extra soon. One thing I do not understand is an unresolvable happening in KDE:Distro:Stable for 11.2 and 11.3: nothing provides libqt4-sql = 4.7.2 needed by libqt4-sql-mysql The Requires in the spec are: BuildRequires: libctemplate-devel BuildRequires: libkde4-devel libkdepimlibs4-devel BuildRequires: update-desktop-files %kde4_runtime_requires %kde4_pimlibs_requires %kde4_akonadi_requires Requires: python-trml2pdf pdftk libqt4-sql-sqlite so I do not see how the bug happens nor how I can fix it.
