[opensuse-kde] Translation files for devicenotifier

Hi all, when you plug a removable device, device notifier pop ups and allows user to choose the action to perform. For instance, for a pendrive, you can Open with File Manager, Download Photos with Gwenview or Download Photos with digiKam. Now, my question is: what are the translation files involved in these choices? As you can see in this screenshot (http://img4.imageshack.us/i/file1c.jpg/) some strings are correctly translated in Italian, while others are still in English. However, as far as I know, the strings are translated upstream as well as in update-desktop-files files from berlios' lcn repository. So, how can I check whether correct translation is used? [opensuse-kde] Problems with KDE 4.6.1 - oS 11.4

Hi all, I have installed oS 11.4 formatting / but keeping /home. Then I have added the K:R:46 repo (and the corresponding Extra repo) and given a "zypper dup -r K:R:46 -r :K:R:46-extra". It completed the update without errors and then I rebooted the laptop. After the reboot, kdm starts correctly but when I try to log in, the screen becomes black and then I obtain again kdm screen. The behaviour is similar to when / partition is full but I have enough space in / and /home, so it is not this the cause. Now I have disabled the two repos, given another "zypper dup" and KDE starts correctly and I am using it now. File .xsession-errors does not provide me any useful information: the content is equal to the initial part of the current one (it contains only 6 rows of text about xim and dummy input method "none"), as well as /var/log/Xorg.0.log. Do you have any suggestion about this behaviour? How to solve it, how to collect info, ... [opensuse-kde] KDE 4.6.1 in KDE:/Distro:/Factory for openSUSE 11.4?

[opensuse-kde] kmail not opening

Hello SuSE people, 11.4 x86 64 now GM with KDE4,6 Ever since I installed 11.4 (RC1?) several months back I have not been able to start Kmail. I just hoped that with each upgrade it would cure itself. Well it has not. When I try to open it I get the following message: Unable to run command specified The file or folder does not exist. file:///usr/share/applications/kde4/KMail2.desktop Well that is correct. It does not. However, I do have a file KMail.desktop and when I click on that it opens the Kmail wizard and the Kmail itself. How to fix??? [opensuse-kde] Compiling smb4k-0.10.10 on SuSE 11.4 fails CMAKE with unable to find kde4_install_icons

Hi KDE Gurus, Can anyone tell me which package is needed to compile smb4k. Currently, the CMAKE step fails with.... CMake Error at icons/CMakeLists.txt:1 (kde4_install_icons): Unknown CMake command "kde4_install_icons". I think I have all the relevant devel packages installed, and I can compile other KDE packages, but clearly something is missing. Google hasn't been very helpful, so I wondered if any of you guys has a suggestion? [opensuse-kde] Kaddressbook not working

Hi: I just completed a install of 11.4 on a new machine. I copied my home directory from my old machine. My problem is that I am unable to get kaddressbook to start. Kontact seems to start and brings in mail, calandar and to-do's work. Have not tried notes, journal and feeds yet. [opensuse-kde] Meetings

Hello Mates, some questions reaches the Weekly News Team about missing Informations about Meetings. In the past we had introduced that a Meetings comes and after that we published the Link to the last Transcript. Sadly is looks like not every Meeting is added to the calendar, so that means that each possible attendee must search when the next Meeting will be held. And as example some Pages like: * http://en.opensuse.org/openSUSE:KDE_meeting * http://en.opensuse.org/openSUSE:GNOME_meeting * http://en.opensuse.org/openSUSE:Marketing_meeting needs an update. So i want to motivate all Meeting holders to add their Meetings to the Calendar and after that adding the Link to the transcript to the Meetings Page.
