Hi,
I have sis 315 chipset with thomas winischofer vga drivers, suse 9.0, xfree
4.4, kdm and kde. I have dual video outputs (VGA and TV out) with xinerama
switched off and getting two independent kde desktops on 2 screens . If I
run top I get two separate X processes running. I'd like to have following
setup:
- screen 0 : KDE desktop with login screen for normal work
- screen 1 : Media application (like Freevo, Mythtv) to be run without
window manager in fullscreen
I'd like to run always Freevo on screen 1 and have login screen and KDE
desktop on screen 0.
But I have several problems to achieve this setup:
- my login screen is always displayed on my TV out, where I'd like to run
Freevo and get login screen on 0
- if I run top I have two processes of X running. But I don't know where are
this settings, from where kdm starts and spawns two X processes on two
different screens and decides where to output login screen. I've tried with
Xservers files but no difference (it says there that those settings are only
if you have 2 different cards and not just screens).
I'd kindly ask for any advice, help or pointers to more info...
