Kate and spell check

Hi! I have a odd problem. I can't seem to change the language for spell checking within the editor Kate? It is possible in Kmail, Kword ..etc but not in Kate. I have to go to the global settings for KDE and change the language in spell check. Any hints? I use SUSE8.1, KDE3.11 and ispell with English and Swedish as possible languages. /Tomas

I've tried switching the option off and then switching it back on in kcontrolcenter but have had no luck. install with yast button gone

As much as I used to like kpackage I prefer the Install w/ yast option. Does anyone know how to restore this? keine Marker und Labels in xearth

Hallo, trotz des Aufrufes "xearth -size %x,%y -ppm -proj merc > %f" zeigt xearth keine Marker und keine Einträge aus dem built-in marker file an. Einkompiliert wurde es, überprüft mit xearth -showmarkers. Die Optionen "-markers" und "-markerfile built-in" sollten der man-page nach Voreinstellungen sein, aber auch mit den Optionen in der Befehlszeile oben explizit mit angegeben, zeigt keine Marker und Orte an. Auch dei -label-Option zeigt nichts an. Wisst Ihr da weiter? Gruß Stefan

KDE 3.1.1problem with background image

Has anybody else had a problem with the background image messing up when you move a window around? The right hand edge of the window makes the image mess up, it moves the pixels around so it looks really weird i.e. the image is displayed out of line or bits of it over other bits. Hard to describe..... thanks george

KDE 3.1.1 via Konstruct

Well, I've run into my first issue with compiling KDE 3.1.1 with Konstruct. Nothing will compile and I keep getting the error that kdelibs are not installed. Well, I just recompiled the kdelibs-3.1.1 tarball and made sure everything was in the right place. The configure file in kopete 0.6.1a still isn't happy. I wouldn't even be compiling kopete if the icq.plugin wasn't shitting on itself everytime it tries to connect. It's not an ICQ problem because Licq connects just fine and so did kopete before the upgrade. It really is starting to piss me off that with the uber cool build system that SuSE has they can't make 3.1.1 pkgs for 8.0. I know that 8.2 is just around the corner (6 weeks or so) but that doesn't mean much. I think 8.0 and 8.1 should both be supported. I found nothing in the 3.1.1 tarballs that wouldn't work with 8.0 so there are not any excuses that "this or that" won't work. KMail Notification of New Mail

I would like to see a feature that the pop-up window would allow me to click on a button and then the new message will be displayed. (This is a feature of Outlook in the Windows world.) 3.1.1 and Yast

I can see rpms at kde.us.kde.org in the /pub/kde/stable/3.1.1/SuSE/ix86/8.1/ directory. When I try to configure Yast2 to look at the server and directory, I get this error: "ERROR(InstSrc:E_no_instsrc_on_media)" I am guessing that Yast looks in the designated directory for a .rc file to use to determine the directory contents and versions and none is in the directory.
