[opensuse-translation] .po editor on windows?

I have some available free time, which I could use to translate, but the only computer I have on those intervals runs windows. Dear Sir or Madam, New language name: Persian (Farsi) Full Name: Saeid Yarandi Novell login: saeid6512 Contact mail: saeid6512(a)yahoo.com I would like to contribute to OpenSUSE community by adding a new language to the community. I understand that little work is done for Persian language in OpenSuse community and I would like to improve it. I have been using Linux for many years and especially OpenSUSE for the past 3 years. I trust that there is a lot potential in Persian spoken communities that could be contributed to OpenSUSE environment. Thank you in advance. [opensuse-translation] WebYaST available for translation

The first WebYaST files are now available for translation. There is a deadline: end of October. The files are in the "webyast" module of the suse-i18n SVN (trunk), next to "lcn" and "yast". There is a team for this matter already, it started its job about 2 years ago but as the team members didnt work well this project dropped, but I keep my job and do this alone. [opensuse-translation] Moblin and openSUSE

Dear Michael, We read a lot these days about a Moblin based on openSUSE that could be released in a few months, even before end of the year, prehaps. As it's said that it would be based on openSUSE, I'm inquiring what is planned for localisation of this. I'm planning to localize Moblin (upstream) but I wondered if all the languages present in both openSUSE and Moblin would be present on the official Moblin SUSE? Or are you gonna choose only the mainstream and marketable languages, especially for the OEM versions? Is there gonna be a downloadable version? Or should we only use Goblin if we don't buy it with a computer? Is there going to be a community driven flavor of openSUSE or a more commercial product? And last but not least, what are the release plan, as the one from Moblin (still in beta) is quite unclear? [opensuse-translation] KDE translations for desktop files

Hi, There was a long standing issue that translations that changed in KDE from something strange to an english string copy would still carry the old translation in openSUSE. Example: 11.1 had Name=Foobar Name[de]=Fookneipe For KDE 4.3 someone found out "Foobar" is the better "translation" and so it changed in the desktop file to Name=Foobar actually removing the german translation. Now for openSUSE's scripts it looked like there is no translation and so it preferred the openSUSE translation "Fookneipe" in essence keeping an old (wrong) translation alive. Just to tell you that I fixed this problem on KDE's side, but it will take a while before all packages are updated - as our scripts get them from the packages. Hello, Would it be possible to know which version of KDE translations will be shipped with openSUSE 11.2 final? For extra programs like NetworkManager which is in kde trunk's playground-base, that many are translatiing now, when are gonna be taken the translations?
