I have some available free time, which I could use to translate, but the only computer I have on those intervals runs windows. [opensuse-translation] 12.1 Release announcement needs translation

Hi people 12.1 is going to be released soon and we are looking for people that can translate the 12.1 Release announcement in as many languages as possible. If you can please send and e-mail here by saying your name and the language you can translate the announcement. Those of you who will step up will get the 12.1 release announcement about a week before the release date so that you have plenty of time to do it. We are doing that in order to have this better organized and your participation will be highly appreciated. [opensuse-translation] Freezing of package summaries and descriptions

Hi all, when will packages be frozen, so packages/pot files become stable for translation? I know there is time for translation until the GM, but I would like to know how much time we have to translate new/fuzzy strings. I believe they correspond to the msgid from the memory file used for automatic fuzzy translation. I would like to remove them automatically, this should be easy to do with a sed line - but I'm not that fluent with sed though I think it should be easy. [opensuse-translation] Installation setup slideshow location

Hi, I'd like to know where are located installation slideshow (screens displayed while OpenSUSE is installing to disk, which usually says what's the best in OpenSUSE) PO/POT files to translation. I'd like to translate them. What I know is only where are located yast translation files (https://svn.berlios.de/svnroot/repos/opensuse-i18n/trunk/yast/<lang>/po/). Next thing: Release notes - will it be ready on 30.10. (according to Timeline)? Where will be located and what deadline will be to translate it? Thanks. [opensuse-translation] Typo in Release-notes.pot

Hi all, I have found a typo in the RELEASE-NOTES-openSUSE.pot file: in "For a brief descriptions of many GNOME Shell features..." descriptions should be description. I think that filing a bug is not useful in this case, since it takes some time before being processed, so who can I contact for notifying him/her the typo? Moreover, is it correct the string "Version 12.1.2 (2011-10-21)"? Es wurde von Fraunhofer FOKUS entwickelt und gepflegt. Als ein europäisches, nicht proprietäres Projekt verfolgt BerliOS das Ziel, die verschiedenen Open-Source-Akteure zu unterstützen und eine neutrale Vermittlerfunktion zu bieten. 2011 wurden 4710 Projekte auf BerliOS gehosted, mit 50.000 registrierten Nutzern und über 2,6 Millionen Dateien Downloads jeden Monat. Wir sind stolz, dass wir mit BerliOS die Idee eines OSS-Repository nach Europa gebracht haben. Mittlerweile hat sich das Konzept durchgesetzt und es gibt zahlreiche gute Alternativen. Leider hat ein Forschungsinstitut wie Fraunhofer FOKUS nur wenig Möglichkeiten, langfristig ein Repository wie BerliOS zu betreiben. Ein solches Projekt funktioniert nur, wenn es gelingt, eine Anschlussfinanzierung zu finden, bzw. Sponsoren oder Partner zu gewinnen, die das Repository übernehmen. Das ist im OSS-Bereich ein schwieriges Unterfangen. In einer kürzlich durchgeführten Umfrage haben wir zwar Unterstützung an Geldmitteln und Arbeitsleistung signalisiert bekommen, für die wir uns bedanken. Leider reicht das Ergebnis aber nicht aus, um das Projekt auf eine nachhaltige finanzielle Basis zu stellen. Auch die Suche nach Sponsoren oder Partnern war leider erfolglos. Open Source wird bei Fraunhofer FOKUS als Paradigma für zukunftsweisenden intelligenten IT-Einsatz verstanden.
