A yast translation update is currently in the works:
http://bugzilla.opensuse.org/show_bug.cgi?id=903833
If you detect translation issues somewhere else, please track it in
bugzilla.
If you fixed a reported translation issue, do not close the bug but
assign it to the package maintainer when you as a translator have done
your share.

Good day,
I want to localize gfxboot into Kazakh, language.
In fact, I already have the ready PO file.
Is this list the correct place to request addition
of my locale to gfxboot?
If yes, I will send it with the next message,
Thanks,

Hi,
Last two months I finished to work on the translation of OpenSUSE to Ukrainian.
Now this language is fully translated (webyast, yast, lcn). But some
web-sites of OpenSUSE have Ukrainian version
(http://software.opensuse.org/132/uk)
and some web-sites of OpenSUSE haven't Ukrainian version
(http://www.opensuse.org)
However, http://www.opensuse.org/ is a main page of OpenSUSE.
Thus, I have a question: how to add an Ukrainian translation on
http://www.opensuse.org?
Could someone help me with this?
Sincerely
Andriy

Hi,
the Spanish translator for that file has noted that the program is
displaying in "spanglish":
Let's look at the "overview" panel, as it is entirely in English.
I search for the string "Browse packages using the groups list on the
left" in on my file
which has from 10.1 to 13.1 and factory.
The string only appears in factory, as deactivated strings, in the po
file, not in the pot;
#~ msgid "<h1><img src=\"gtk-dialog-info\" />Overview</h1><p>Browse
packages using the groups list on the left.</p><p>Press a package in
the list to see more i
nformation about it.</p><p>To install or remove a package, just click
on its \"checkbox\".</p>"
#~ msgstr "<h1><img src=\"gtk-dialog-info\" />Vista
General</h1><p>Expplore paquetes utilizando los grupos en la
izquierda.</p><p>Seleccione un paquete de la l
ista para ver más información.</p><p>Para instalar o eliminar un
paquete, marque en su \"casilla\".</p>"
".../trunk/yast/50-pot/gtk.pot" is dated:
> "POT-Creation-Date: 2014-07-04 15:52+0200\n"
That's the problem. Who takes this on? A bugzilla? Against what,
assigned to whom?
Are there more obsolete pots?
[...]
Actually, tons. :-(
no wonder there was so little to translate...
maybe some pots are unchanged, but I doubt it, as only 11 files are
dated afterwards (of 2014-07-04).
[...]
Gabriel detected that many missing strings were lost here:
http://svn.opensuse.org/viewvc/opensuse-i18n/trunk/yast/50-pot/gtk.pot?revi…
«Tue Dec 3 17:12:29 2013 UTC (10 months, 3 weeks ago) by marguerite »
«merge in missing translation from libyui-gtk, bnc#801311, for Karl»
And sure enough, here is the string on the previous commit:
http://svn.opensuse.org/viewvc/opensuse-i18n/trunk/yast/50-pot/gtk.pot?view…
Tue Sep 10 07:15:19 2013 UTC (13 months, 2 weeks ago) by jsuchome
#: src/YGPackageSelector.cc:120
msgid "<h1><img src=\"gtk-dialog-info\" />Overview</h1><p>Browse
packages using the groups list on the left.</p><p>Press a package in
the list to see more information about it.</p><p>To install or remove
a package, just click on its \"checkbox\".</p>"
msgstr ""
Also, there is no libyui-gtk.pot. I don't know if this is correct or not.

Are you still working on the release notes translations? Depending on
the time you'd need, I'd either submit the package this Thursday in the
afternoon (2014-11-06 ~15:00 CET) or in the beginning of next week
(2014-11-10/12).
I guess there will another release notes update within the next two or
three weeks.

Tomorrow we will release openSUSE 13.2 which should mean that we place
the usual message again in software.o.o/developer, that used to be:
"There is no openSUSE release in testing phase at the moment. If you
want to use bleeding edge software, please use <a
href='http://en.opensuse.org/Portal:Factory'>openSUSE Factory</a>"
But at the same date, Tumbleweed and Factory will merge, so I updated
the change in software.o.o to reference Tumbleweed instead of Factory.
I updated all the translations in the svn (the change was
straightforward enough), so please check the result for your language.
In some cases, I faced small problems.
Japanese. It currently points to https://ja.opensuse.org/Portal:Factory,
but the equivalent https://ja.opensuse.org/Portal:Tumbleweed does not
exist. So I changed it to point to the English Tumbleweed portal.
Czech. I changed it to point to http://cs.opensuse.org/Portal:Tumbleweed
but, although I cannot read Czech, I'm pretty sure it talks about the
"old Tumbleweed".
German. Same problem than Czech.
Italian. Same problem... and this time I'm completely sure it's
outdated, I can read enough Italian :-).
Chinese. Same problem again.
So if you are in charge of any of the affected languages or you find a
problem in my search-and-replace translations. Please ping me.
Best.

Hi list,
The cummunity release announcement is ready, although the final
announcement is not yet public in news.o.o, but as usual, the article
already moved to wiki at https://en.opensuse.org/Release_announcement ,
we're looking for your help to translate the announcement wiki page
before release day!
Thank you for your help!
Best regards,
Max
