hi. debian doesn't want to install properly on my aspire one, but
opensuse do, so i guess i'm switching.
Debian has a web-interface for package description translation:
http://ddtp.debian.net/http://ddtp.debian.net/ddtss/index.cgi/xx
I wonder if opensuse has something similar.

In po/html-help-install.*.po and po/html-help-boot.*.po you must not
translate the <placeholder-X/ tags, please. All these must stay in
English.

Hi!
I can't select a dictionary that works.
I have installed (opensuse 11.0):
ispell-american-3.3.02-60.1
ispell-3.3.02-60.1
ispell-spanish-1.5-361.1
aspell-es-1.9.1-11.1
aspell-devel-0.60.5-85.1
aspell-en-6.0-134.1
aspell-0.60.5-85.1
aspell-fr-0.50.3-477.1
In kbabel, I can select:
Unknown [spanish]
UTF-8
international Ispell
Spanish [espanol]
UTF-8
international Ispell
Spanish
UTF-8
Aspell
Spanish (a second one)
UTF-8
Aspell
None works. I mean, none does any spell checking. This was working last
round (using 10.3)
What I need is:
Spanish [spanish]
but it is not listed. The "Unknown [spanish]" works only for a short while
after selecting "aspell" then back. After a while it stops (wrong words
are not colored "red").
Clues?
Aspell seems to work, toggling the box "on the fly spell check" and
apply... but later it also stops working.

Hello,
I want to start working and introduce new language for opensuse users
and make this distro more interesting and user friendly for georgians,
so please add me to the localization project as team coordinator.
Previously I was working on many projects like Gnome, Mozilla,
Openoffice and actively on the KDE and Fedora as project coordinator
and team lead and I am very familiar with all process including
development and QA and with all translators from other distro projects
also.
I want to join you now, because from now I have a lot of time for it
after two-year delay and I can start active development next week, I
hope we will have new language for next release :)
My preferences:
Novell Login: GioMac
Email: giomac(a)gmail.com
Name: George
Surname: Machitidze
Localized Name: გიორგი
Localized Surname: მაჩიტიძე
Localization Language and Code: Georgian, ka, ka_GE
Preferrable Languages order: Georgian, English, Russian, German
Please send me recommendation for next step, for now main issue is tu
have Georgian language in the list of language selection, because many
programs are already available in this language and I want to make it
available for users as soon as possible without manually changing any
values in /etc/sysconfig/language file.
Thank you and have a nice day :)

New yast pot files are available. I'll start merging again
within a few hours.
Please commit pending translations now to avoid conflicts.
Cheers,
Karl

Hi all,
I cannot use SVN procedures from kbabel's catalogmanager - options in
the menu are inactive.
Is there anyone who can tell me how can I use it?
Thank you!

Hi Karl,
Seems that my Novell account is locked. I can't commit the files, edit
the wiki, etc.
The Novell login page says this:

Hi all,
It seems my @opensuse.org e-mail redirections do not work... Is there
any similar problem with yours ?
Who can I contact to solve this problem ?
Best regards,
Guillaume

Hi Karl,
Is there a way to translate the opensuse-manual package for openSUSE
11.1 and beyond. And if we get it 100% is there a way to get into the
release? or just by openSUSE Build Service?
Regards,
Luiz Fernando Ranghetti

New yast pot files are available and the merging process is running.
Note, some changes are still pending--quoting Jiri:
multipath.pot (might be removed if we do not finish it in time)
support.pot (there is ECO for late delivery)
printer.pot (probably by the end of this week) [I think, it is
mostly done now (ke)]
additionally, ntsutils.pot will probably vanish (some of the texts
will be moved to support, that's why I let it stay).
Additionally, expect weekly updates because of bugfixes and late
features. We will probably update and merge the yast files on Thursday
at noon.
