Hi,
When will we stop accepting translation updates for 12.3?

Hi,
if you look to translation trunk toplist you realize that there are different number in the Total column. Eg. Czech translations have only 33281 strings, while Japanese translations has 33309. What causes the difference?

Thanks,

Hi,
i've problem with yast/cs/po/printers.cs.po, because in string "ConnectionWizardDialog help 6/7" (src/helps.ycp:590) is specified option
#, ycp-format
The problem is, that if I change included URL "http://en.opensuse.org/SDB:Printing_via_SMB_(Samba)_Share_or_Windows_Share" to intended Czech translation page address "https://cs.opensuse.org/SDB:Tisk_na_sd%C3%ADlen%C3%A9_tisk%C3%A1rn%C4%9B_%2…" it is considered as invalid YCP string format, because character "C" after percent-sign is for YCP format forbidden. Then if I change .po file and remove the option
#, ycp-format
it can be uploaded successfully probably because it is not tested for YCP format.
The previous string "ConnectionWizardDialog help 5/7" (src/helps.ycp:552) doesn't contain this option, so I think there is no purpose to use it in step 6.
If I understand this, the YCP format is used for percent signed variables %1 %2... to fill context-sensitive values. In the "ConnectionWizardDialog help 6/7" is no variable, so I think there isn't important the YCP format option. Am I right?
Thanks.

Dear listmates,
During the 12.3 Polish Hackaton last weekend, the team discussed together with
Jos Poortvliet the current status of the text that is placed within the KDE
greeter.
A new version of the text was created and is now uploaded to the lcn
repository on svn.opensuse.org, ready to be translated.
It would be great if we could have the text translated within the next weeks
so that we can release this together with 12.3
Thanks.
Regards
Raymond

Hi, I stumbled upon this:
In the WebYaST .po files, some strings are with HTML characters, I don't
have an issue with that, but I would like to know if any of the other
translators who translate openSUSE to RTL languages have this
issue/question.

Hi,
There is bug in openSUSE LiveCD installation process:
if you don't press F2 to select your language, and
then if you select your language in YaST Live Installation,
/var/lib/zypp/RequestedLocales will not be modifited according your
selection.
(Becides, this is not request to include all locales in LiveCD,
This is about different behaviour of YaST installation,
according language selection in boot menu)
That is:
* If you press F2 and select you language:
Your language is suggested in YaST Live Installation;
You have you locale in /var/lib/zypp/RequestedLocales
(for automatical installation of language packages
for your locale in future);
You have English sytem (as espected), but
you will get you language packages automatically
then online repositories are available.
* If you don't press F2:
You boot in English (as espected);
You can choose language in YaST Live Installation,
but if you choose any other -
you will see two languages selected in settings summary window
before copying LiveCD content to hard disk (strange).
In /var/lib/zypp/RequestedLocales is only en_US
(in contrast to settings!)
Maybe solution could be to execute something like
echo "lt_LT" > /var/lib/zypp/RequestedLocales
before copying live medium content.
So please help to find solution for bug
https://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=775607
witch for some people seems very minor.
