We are in the process creating branches:
https://forgesvn1.novell.com/svn/suse-i18n/branches/SLE10SP1
For SLE10 SP1
https://forgesvn1.novell.com/svn/suse-i18n/branches/openSUSE-10_2-Branch
For openSUSE 10.2
Thus far, none of these branches is open for check-ins. If you want to
fix anything 10.2 related, just use the trunk as during the last
months. In case of serious ("critical") issues of which you want to see
an online update, create a bugzilla entry as well. Most of the
translation iusses are by definition not "critical", so do not be
disappointed if we cannot release on official update.
More information on the branches later.

In some modules it is possible to reuse button texts within the help
texts. The problem is to find a way to eliminate the shortcut
denominators such as "&Ok" or "&Cancel" (note the ampersand).
It is not that difficult with languages based on latin characters
(French, Czech, Dutch, etc.). But for Asian and other script based
languages we must work out special routines. Please, describe how you
use shortcuts in your language; if you do it the English way, there is
no need to send an e-mail, but if you use something such as follows
(ja):
#. Button label
#: library/modules/Label.ycp:57
msgid "&No"
msgstr "いいえ (&N)"
tell me about it.

I don't think it's less important, but if you have one po file with
7562 strings where are approx. 3000 untranslated or fuzzy no one wants
to pick up and translate all of the strings, neither even touch it.
And I would have rather fully translated entries in YaST2 control
center than other entries in KDE/GNOME menu.
What do you think users will appreciate more?
Regards Ladislav.

You probably noticed that we are cleaning up the translation SVN. The
first translation round is going to start next week :)
Here are some details:

memory files).

When will this be done?
https://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=369657
It would be useful to know to assign tasks to translators.
With kind regards,
Alberto

Hello,
what's the difference between a restricted and an unrestricted user in
POAT?
Why the number of strings, total/fuzzy/untranslated/translated is not
shown in the tables?
A nice addition to POAT would be a function which automatically shows
the workload of each user of a team, to allow coordinators to balance
the number of strings assigned.
Thanks in advance for the answers.
With kind regards,
Alberto

Hi all,
I added a new option to the site, I hope you find it useful.
It's published on a test site (http://test.os-es.com.ar). The database
was migrated, so I recommend you to change your password in the test
site to avoid confusion.
This function is mainly for people who don't have commits rights, they
can upload a .tar file with the po files, the .po files are checked for
valid headers and then updated in the file list as 'waiting commit'.
The file is emailed to the users with commit rights.
To test this function please check in your user preferences "User has
svn commit rights" with 'yes' (so you can receive the email)
At the top of the filelist you'll see the 'upload file' link.
The system will accept only files assigned to the user who is uploading
them.
In the 'Administration' menu, you'll find a option called 'Waiting
commit' where the upload files are listed, after the file is commited
you can use this to update the status on the filelist.
Any issue with the system, you can report it here
http://code.google.com/p/poat/issues/list
If you have any question, just send me an email.
Thank you all.
Best regards.
