[opensuse-translation] Adding Georgian language

Hello, I want to start working and introduce new language for opensuse users and make this distro more interesting and user friendly for georgians, so please add me to the localization project as team coordinator. Previously I was working on many projects like Gnome, Mozilla, Openoffice and actively on the KDE and Fedora as project coordinator and team lead and I am very familiar with all process including development and QA and with all translators from other distro projects also. I want to join you now, because from now I have a lot of time for it after two-year delay and I can start active development next week, I hope we will have new language for next release :) My preferences: Novell Login: GioMac Email: giomac(a)gmail.com Name: George Surname: Machitidze Localized Name: გიორგი Localized Surname: მაჩიტიძე Localization Language and Code: Georgian, ka, ka_GE Preferrable Languages order: Georgian, English, Russian, German Please send me recommendation for next step, for now main issue is tu have Georgian language in the list of language selection, because many programs are already available in this language and I want to make it available for users as soon as possible without manually changing any values in /etc/sysconfig/language file. Hello. The web page with statistics http://i18n.opensuse.org/stats/trunk/sk/lcn/ shows also pot file from https://forgesvn1.novell.com/viewsvn/suse-i18n/trunk/lcn/50-pot directory. [opensuse-translation] Bug with localisation of Yast in KDE4

Dear translators, I filled this bug during beta stage of openSUSE 11.0: https://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=391836 The bug is that, only in KDE 4.0, when launching Yast from the menu, it doesn't apear fully localised. When launching from a terminal, it apears localised. I wondered if this bug occured in any other language than mine? If yes, are there any other bug filled in? If you've got the same problem with other languages, please inform me and vote for that bug. Best Khoem, This is'nt a KDE related issue. I had the same yesterday on my openSuse for Walloon. For 10.3, the retail box included a double DVD. For the 11.0 it's a single one. Result, with all aded features (KDE4...), no more space on this single double layer DVD, not all translation are shipped in as it was in the past. You should download the Add-on language CD or add on-line repositories at the start of installation (or after with Yast, what you did). I think it's a mistake but it's their choice. The problem is that they don't say it on the box and that you're thinking that everything should be in the box. For a market point of view, it makes more sense sinds it's for sale, so they choose the main languages. With walloon team we're considering to make a Live-CD with standard openSUSE but in Walloon with the future Suse studio so we'll be able to promote it more easily (via free CD's) because today's way of installing suse is very easy in English (live CD's, DVD box) but less than before for small languages (in the past l10n packages for things like kde use to be in the main DVD and add-on language CD had only things like OpenOffice.org). But I can understand why they do so. Steffen re-worked the framework around boot loader help files and I started with my share. To you as the translator it should still llok the same as before modulo msgstr cleanups and thus many fuzzies. This is the workflow taking place in 'lcn': We now have small html files in 50-html/$project which are displayed from the boot loader, if you press a help button. 50-html/Makefile concatenates the small html files to 50-html/${project}.html and builds 50-html/${project}.pot . Merging takes place as usual and you can translate the $LL/po/${project}.$LL.po files. [opensuse-translation] bug 402885 - missing options in zypper

Hi all! Looking in bug 402885 (https://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=402885) from the spanish fellows, makes me remember something that I felt when doing a revision in the zypper.*.po file for my language... I found that some strings that I think was fully translated, in fact wasn't(the help messages --help). There where some new options and they where not marked as fuzzy, for example the "--new-recomends" that the bug talks. I think it was my fault, but seeing this bug I start thinking that was some automaticaly update without marking as fuzzy.
