Hello list,
In zypper.nb.po, the commit command returns syntax errors in two strings, as
does indeed kbabel, complaining that msgid and msgtr do not both end with \n.
However, as far as I can see, they both end with \n. I have even copied source
to target as an experiment, without solving the problem.
I have a feeling that I'm missing something obvious here, just wantet to check
if there are problems with this file in other languages.
Cheers
Olav

Hi all !
I updated my svn (yast branch) and there were some updates and also 3
deletions :
D po/squidguard.fr.po
D po/you-server.fr.po
D po/ntsutils.fr.po
Why delete those files now ? Is it an error ?
Cheers,
Guillaume

Hi!
For the translation of the opensuse manuals, there is any .po
repository or the process is download the source, translate the .xml
files (using xml2po) convert to .xml again (po2xml), create a build
service account and package the opensuse manuals in your language to
distribute it?
If this is the process, is that hard to do something like KDE does?
(using a svn repository for both the gui and doc strings)
Another question: anyone knows where I find the openSUSE related man
pages (for example, the zypper manual page)

Luiz Fernando Ranghetti

Hi!
I'm worried because I have detected that the merge procedure ads "new"
translations to new strings, taking the translation from "memory", I
guess. But the problem is that these automated translations are not marked
fuzzy, so that the human translator will not notice and review them.
For example,
<https://forgesvn1.novell.com/viewsvn/suse-i18n/trunk/yast/es/po/audit-laf.e…>
In green there are two new messages not marked fuzzy. In this case they
are correct, but if translations are taken from the memory file this can
not be guaranteed.

Hi,
That is what I'm thinking. But should be the kspread translation for
KOffice2 not KOffice (as some functions are 'new')
Anyone knows where are located the KOffice2 translation?

Luiz

Hi Karl,
There are some strings in the update-*-kde-service that I have a doubt:
AND, FALSE, IF, NAND, NOR, NOT, OR, TRUE, XOR
and other similar strings.
Should we translate these? Its related to some application in
particular (like ooo)?
Regards,
Luiz

Please, find the roadmap at http://en.opensuse.org/Roadmap/11.1
Friday morning (CEST) before release date is always the translation
deadline and if we are lucky, translations are also still accepted on
Monday--but do not rely on that. Example:
Thu, Oct 30 openSUSE 11.1 Beta 4 release
=>
Submit translations by Fri, Oct 25 11:00 CEST

Yes, also for beta4--I just forgot about that ;) Thanks for pointing
out!

Today I reminded the developers to pickup the translation files from the
SVN and submit the package newly for beta3. Some already did. The same
will take place for the RC.
At the same time, we acquired 3 pot file updates: you can ignore the new
pam_* related updates--those message will never be visible on openSUSE.
gnome-patch-translation is updated and probably needs love. A merge is
running ATM.
Cheers,
Karl
