Hi All,
It’s my great pleasure to participate in GSoC with openSUSE again! What’s more exciting is that this summer I will continue working with my mentor Dominik, on the same project Git-Review.
Since my exams have not entirely finished, in this update I’ll just summarize what’s already done in the development of Git-Review, and what’s ahead.
Last summer, I did a major refactor on the codebase of Git-Review. Since then, Dominik continued working on it and released version 2.0.0. The internals of Git-Review are much more modular now, and ready for support of other git providers (such as bitbucket).
Therefore, for this summer, I will extend Git-Review so that it is able to work with Github, Bitbucket, and possibly Gitlab too. Before the GSoC application closed, I had already spent some time working on the authentication support for Bitbucket. That part was completed, and I would say the progress in definitely right on track.
Cheers,
Xystushi

Hello everyone,
I am Karthik.S working on the Travel Support Program for GSoC 2014
under my mentor Ancor. I have already started contributing to the TSP
application on GitHub(pull request #11) and hence familiar with many
sections of the application. I have also contacted my mentor regarding
the plans for the community bonding period(i.e till May 19).
I am looking forward to continue my work actively after the end of my
semester examinations(7th May).
Thank You

This week involved familiarizing myself with the xen and libvirt.I
was also trying to come up with a copy of xen and libvirt sources that
are
compatible in order to test some changes since both projects are very
vibrant the development environment is very demanding.
I have been working on some "out of the box" networking for xen
virtual machines as a warm up for this project.I should be able to
land a patch on
that next week.I also did some work on this already existing patch
http://lists.xen.org/archives/html/xen-devel/2014-04/msg00244.html.
This patch introduces delete, list and create operations to xen
xl/libxl but has not yet being committed as it needs some
modifications.
Regards ,
David.

report - week 18 ( Monday,April 24 - Sunday,may 4)
this is my first in the series of weekly reports for my GSoC 2014 project.
My project for GSoC 2014 is to add ePub capabilities to Atril - the mate
document viewer.
This week i got on with reading the existing source of the reader , and
understanding how i would get around within the existing user interface
,and where i need to code from scratch .I read up on documentation
concerning the GNU autotools , and the flow of the source code. In
addition,i am getting to know the workflow setup i would have to follow
. As soon as i get a hang of the existing code , i can start with webkit
documentation to understand how i am going to get around with actually
embedding the browser into the wrapper , the first task on my TODO list .
I'm sorry for the slow work this week , but as i am busy with my exams ,
there is some stall to the proceedings ,however i will ensure that i
make up for lost time once the coding period starts .
i also set up this blog : rootavish(dot)github(dot)io , to archive all
reports for the project . All my reports ,including this one ,will be
available here compiled under the GSoC category , so they are available
together at one place .
sorry for the rather lackluster report for the week . i would be able to
gain much momentum by the end of next week , ( 12-13 of May ) ,once my
exams have ended.
thanks,
Avishkar Gupta
