Hi all,
This week, the new Zorp GPL 5.0 has been released, and my mentors asked
me, to take it's packaging as the highest priority task. Because of
their debian packaging worked well locally, I first tried to build them
with OBS as well. To be able to use Zorp functionality well, I had to
build a lot of other packages just like pyopenssl. I've successfully
packaged everything (except kzorp) to deb, RPM packaging is still in
need of work.
You can check my latest results here:
https://build.opensuse.org/project/monitor/home:VPetya:zorp
For the next week, I plan to finish packaging. I think this will be a
whole week task, but if I finish that in time, I'll start the
implementation of the missing load balancer strategies.
Regards,
Peter

Hi all,
This week's plan was to list the hard-coded songs that belong to one
list. For that, we had to solve a problem with routing first.
After solving this, I started working with jQuery and Restangular API
to connect the list with the songs.
Here is what we get at the end: http://i.imgur.com/ntTmJAk.png
I was also planning to save the playlists into database, but the
implemention took longer than I expected and I am hoping to finish it
by Monday now.
As a note, you can always follow the project status here:

Using: https://secure-www.novell.com/selfreg/jsp/protected/manageAccount.jsp
I have attempted to change my password a couple times today.
Both times it came back with "Error - NullPointerException
(UpdatePassword)" as part of the response and the password change does
not appear to have worked.
I would file a bugzilla, but I have no idea what component to file it against.
Thanks
Greg

Please get the details to us as far in advance as possible, we'd like
at least 4 weeks notice before having to send a box :)

Of course we still see people getting this wrong on a regular basis,
but googling for "SUSE capitalization" doesn't reveal anything
helpful. IMHO we need a wiki page covering the One Absolute Truth,
and also a bit of the history behind it. I found this thread from
2005:
http://lists.opensuse.org/opensuse/2005-08/msg00377.html
but it didn't provide the full story.
Additionally,
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/SUSEhttps://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/SuSE
are (somewhat depressingly) two entirely different articles, neither
of which gives any real detail over the renaming from SuSE to SUSE.
Shouldn't there be a page
https://en.opensuse.org/Capitalization
or something?

Hi,
I continued working on snapper-gui last week and it's coming along
nicely. I will have a version with config & snapshot read capabilities
ready for testing this week.
I've also started investigating about adding a new panel to dolphin
for displaying snapshot information.
I'm having some problems regarding the build system for snapper-gui
mostly about using pyuic, I'll discuss them with my mentor in our next
meeting.

Hello everyone!
This is the last written report without any testable/runnable attachment.
So, I contacted my mentor about our initial development plans for the
next week, and I did the assignments.
If everything goes well, you will be able to fiddle around with a
prototype next weekend.
Here is the blog meanwhile: http://osblog.shiki.hu/
(I will modify the existing posts after we talk this through with my
mentor, but I just wanted to show that there IS progress.
Well, you can't really make digging through code and testing too
exciting for outsiders, but ... yeah.)
Thanks for the patience.
Best regards,
Peter

hi,
this is my weekly report for week 4 of GSoC (Saturday,May-17 to
Saturday,May-24),I'm working on epub support in Atril ,the MATE document
viewer .
this week was the start of the coding period and to kick things off i
started with this commit :
https://github.com/rootAvish/atril/tree/28b2c08f60f54a78596746e204f4d009258…
creating a directory structure and modifying the autoconf and automake
scripts to get started with coding .
i also wrote some functions to :
1)extarct the epub ,using zlib and minizip [2]
2)parse the associated XML metadata , using libxml [1]
see:
[1]
https://github.com/rootAvish/atril/commit/0a4d3f34a8aee74019759ace24f84672a…
[2] please check the tree for this [3], as i'm looking into something
right now and will push changes once i am done.
since i require a lot of xml parsing, i tried to keep the xmlparser as
generalised as possible . However should the need arise i will have to
modify this . i tested these programs separately however not as a part
of the application .
will do so in this week .
Now i'm working on creating a webview , this will be my first priority
for the next 2-3 days , so that we can have a
basic reader ready by the mid of week 6 ,after which MathJax and other
additional features can be worked out .
For any future updates to the code please see :
[3] https://github.com/rootAvish/atril/tree/epub
( the changes are not on the master branch currently )
As usual report will be available on the blog , as soon as the new one
is up ( maybe by Monday ).
Thank you,
Avishkar Gupta
