Hi fellow opensusers,
I was in the #opensuse-project channel and I have seen something very
shocking happening:
< suseROCKs> Beineri: No I'm an American. We kicked Brit ass 232
years ago and we're still gloating about it.
Well, I ask you all, should we put that kind of push on british
opensuse users? I kid you not, what should we do? Push them to other
distributions more friendly to british linux users?
That's wrong, in my opinion. What should we do about it?
Best regards
Marcio

I have just performed a fresh install of OpenSuSE 11 on a box previously
running 10.3.
The install went fine until the hardware configuration page. At this point
no monitor was found to setup. The graphics card, printer, sound card etc
were all found, but the monitor was missing.
The monitor is a ViewSonic E70f, and the graphics card is an ATI Radeon 8500
series.
Has anyone else seen this? Does anyone have any ideas how to resolve this.
Cheers
Peter

I'm just writing to inform that a common nordic irc-channel has been created.
#opensuse-nordic on the freenode irc-network.
The official languages of the channel are Swedish, Danish and Norwegian.
People from Finland, Iceland, Faroe Isles, Greenland, Schleswig-Holstein or
other places, who read/write these languages are of course more than welcome
to join also.

I'm not in the position of having the chance to speak with ISVs myself
unfortunately. I only relied on what seemed to have been communicated on
the LSB face-to-face meeting. It might be good if we had more
application vendors (and also open-source project maintainers) speaking
up on this issue in the general or the particular proposal.

Denis
