[opensuse-project] Can one manually become a "Member Emeritus"

Hi all, after reading https://en.opensuse.org/openSUSE:Members, I understand that I can cancel my membership status with immediate effect and forever. To become a "Member Emeritus", with a "way back" into the community in case things might turn good again, I have to wait for the status request and just not respond to it. But the last such request was almost 3 years ago. IIUC I need to stop all actions on the mailing lists (might be a good idea ;-)) and packaging (not so good) for the bot to pick me up. So is there a manual procedure to follow to become "Member Emeritus"? $SUBJECT, someone should share the memo with Stefan... - https://build.opensuse.org/request/show/856976 - https://build.opensuse.org/request/show/856971 He apparently feels a sole gatekeeper of a project that has 74 packages in total, 9 failing, 7 unresolvable including 2 years old verilator that is linked to Factory... Good luck taking on CentOS with this attitude, EDA space is not where openSUSE can shine if community members act like they need to protect their tiny projects, I have requested a separate OBS project for ASIC and FPGA EDA effort, and was told to use electronics, so make up your mind... The facepalm is intended for a person on a BCC... 🤦‍♂️ Question: What can SUSE help you with to grow the community? Not to place roadblocks in my way... I'd Stefan is such a roadblock, so perhaps board@ can start removing community roadblocks also, I am not facing any roadblocks from SUSE at this point. Board Elections: Meet the Candidates

Hi all! As the openSUSE Board election is drawing closer, with the ballots opening on December 15 already, we want to invite the openSUSE community to a "meet-and-greet" and QA live session with the candidates. In the past weeks there have been passionate discussions on the election and candidates, and we felt we had to answer the community's interest with a proper setting. In this video call the candidates will introduces themselves, present their openSUSE board election platforms and answer questions. While this might sound a bit formal we really want to keep it very informal and relaxed for everyone. The goal is to give the community a better picture of the candidates so they can decide whom to vote for. ## Time and date Saturday, 2020-12-19 at 13:00 UTC We tried to accommodate as many time zones as possible. We chose Saturday to give people a chance to take part who are working during the weekdays.
