Hey people of openSUSE
Elections officially started, ballots are open. All people eligible to
vote should have taken an email with all the information needed. You
can vote up to 3 out of 5 candidates.
Nothing more really to say here. Voting is optional but should feel
mandatory as the people elected can and will effect the project on the
next two years. Gladly all candidates have skills so no matter what
the result may be the openSUSE project is safe.
Have fun
on behalf of the election committee

Hi,
I want to just ask for people posting artwork of different kinds
to "official" outlets to first consult or outright ask for artwork
on artwork mailing list. I have invited people with initiative to
join me there to have some artwork done by people with passion
and experience with such things.
One of them is even working on Breeze icons for YaST, finally! :o
I was surprised to learn we still have very old images used in
different places and that makes me really sad because we had
those brand new guidelines for quite some time now.
And please, if you decide to make artwork on your own, don't use
SUSE colours in openSUSE artwork, it's different set designed for
different uses and different brands :D.
Also, if you love artwork and feel you are good enough with
inkscapes and other gimps, come and join us, we are lonely :c,
but hopeful for clear and playful ideas and execution of artwork
and brand visuals.
With hopes of more consistency in branding,
LCP [Stasiek]

Hi all,
We are planning on having a debate on the IRC opensuse-project channel
on Tuesday, April 10. We are not sure yet if the debate will be between
19:00 - 20:00 UTC or 20:00 - 21:00 UTC. I'll let you know once we
finalize the time. I will moderate the debate and ask a few questions.
If you have any questions you would like to ask the candidates, please
reply to this thread with your question or email me directly, so I can
include it in the debate.
I'll use the bot to record the debate on IRC and will post it to this
mailing list.

The elections for the openSUSE Board have been postponed until April
15 to give candidates extra time to campaign and engage with the
community. Interviews with the candidates will be posted on news.o.o.
and we are in the process of scheduling a Q&A session on IRC.
