Or try e.g. http://xchat.org/ or https://konversation.kde.org/ and configure channel according to https://en.opensuse.org/openSUSE:IRC_list :-) It's simple, try it. :-) -- Vojtěch Zeisek https://trapa.cz/

I'm reading the wikipedia article and intended to set it up on Thunderbird. Now I'm having a look at konversation instead. I will read its help. I just make up a nick? Ah, I see it is possible to register one. -- Cheers / Saludos, Carlos E. R. (from 42.3 x86_64 "Malachite" at Telcontar)

You need some nick, but if You don't plan to use it often, no need to register. Either You get random nick when joining, or You pick up some temporal one. -- Vojtěch Zeisek https://trapa.cz/

I tried to register, but I got no response (it opened a conversation with myself, it said). I'm using server "irc.opensuse.org", which was already defined in Konversation. According to the links, I should get a confirmation email. Maybe this doesn't work at this server, has to be done at another? I tried "/help register" and got "Help not found". (Feel free to reply on another mail list, if this is too OT here) -- Cheers / Saludos, Carlos E. R. (from 42.3 x86_64 "Malachite" at Telcontar)

I have in Konversation connection to chat.freenode.net, port 8001, there are various openSUSE and other channels... -- Vojtěch Zeisek https://trapa.cz/

I tried to connect there, and it says my nickname (robin_listas) is already registered. Apparently it collides with irc.opensuse.org I had to close conversation and enter again. Finally, I see that the syntax is: /msg NickServ REGISTER password email@host where "NickServ" is literally NickServ, not a placeholder for my nickname. Ok done! I have registered "robin_listas" :-) Thanks. -- Cheers / Saludos, Carlos E. R. (from 42.3 x86_64 "Malachite" at Telcontar)

They are one and the same. irc.opensuse.org is CNAME'd to chat.freenode.net. -- Per Jessen, Zürich (18.4°C) Member, openSUSE Heroes -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-project+unsubscribe@opensuse.org To contact the owner, email: opensuse-project+owner@opensuse.org

Hi Mathias, Not really, those are the interviews, which may be also interesting to read. But what you are asking I think is the log of the debate on IRC: https://community.opensuse.org/meetings/opensuse-project/2018/opensuse-proje... I've also updated the elections wiki page with those links: https://en.opensuse.org/openSUSE:Board_election There you can also find linked the platform of all the candidates, in case you hadn't read them already. :) Regards, Ana -- Ana María Martínez Gómez http://anamaria.martinezgomez.name -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-project+unsubscribe@opensuse.org To contact the owner, email: opensuse-project+owner@opensuse.org
