Hi! For the translation of the opensuse manuals, there is any .po repository or the process is download the source, translate the .xml files (using xml2po) convert to .xml again (po2xml), create a build service account and package the opensuse manuals in your language to distribute it? If this is the process, is that hard to do something like KDE does? Hi, That is what I'm thinking. But should be the kspread translation for KOffice2 not KOffice (as some functions are 'new') Anyone knows where are located the KOffice2 translation? Hi Karl, There are some strings in the update-*-kde-service that I have a doubt: AND, FALSE, IF, NAND, NOR, NOT, OR, TRUE, XOR and other similar strings. Should we translate these? Its related to some application in particular (like ooo)? Today I reminded the developers to pickup the translation files from the SVN and submit the package newly for beta3. Some already did. The same will take place for the RC. At the same time, we acquired 3 pot file updates: you can ignore the new pam_* related updates--those message will never be visible on openSUSE. gnome-patch-translation is updated and probably needs love. A merge is running ATM. Like in 11.0 with packagekit we again have our own versions of translations for things, that should usually be translated upstream. This time it's * kcm_knetworkmanager * plasma-applet_networkmanager Like with packagekit it makes some sense to have our own translations as it's very new stuff with hardly any translations upstream - and at the same time it's stuff that's right in the face of users. But it's still unfortunate due to the risk of duplicate effort and different translations for the same software which can create somewhat of a support nightmare. Therefore I suggest to check for existing translations in your language for these two applications here, to merge with the openSUSE POs to potentially save some work. http://l10n.kde.org/stats/gui/trunk-kde4/package/playground-base/ And to make a little effort to send your translations to the KDE coordinator for your language when you're done translating, to minimize duplicate work. Hi all ! This bug https://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=428160 report a translation bug for french but also for other languages. "Claws Mail" is wrongly translated by "KMail"! Fixed for french, please check your language (including km, pl, bg, cs, uk, sv, el, lt, nb, hu, nl, it, et, and maybe more...) for 11.0 and 11.1. Hello, I want to start working and introduce new language for opensuse users and make this distro more interesting and user friendly for georgians, so please add me to the localization project as team coordinator. Previously I was working on many projects like Gnome, Mozilla, Openoffice and actively on the KDE and Fedora as project coordinator and team lead and I am very familiar with all process including development and QA and with all translators from other distro projects also. [opensuse-translation] Merging yast again for 11.1

New yast pot files are available and the merging process is running. Note, some changes are still pending--quoting Jiri: multipath.pot (might be removed if we do not finish it in time) support.pot (there is ECO for late delivery) printer.pot (probably by the end of this week) [I think, it is mostly done now (ke)] additionally, ntsutils.pot will probably vanish (some of the texts will be moved to support, that's why I let it stay). Additionally, expect weekly updates because of bugfixes and late features. Hi all, I'm a translator for the Italian localization and I've found a strange entry inside lnc/update-desktop-files-kde.po: #: /opt/kde3/share/applications/kde/boson-boson.desktop msgctxt "GenericName(boson-boson.desktop)" msgid "CGenericName=Real-time strategy gameC Clone" msgstr "Clone di gameC di strategia CGenericName=Real-time" It seems quite different from other entries because it contains "CGenericName=" inside msgid string and I'm not able to understand which is the game boson is a clone of. I don't think it is gameC. Can someone tell me if the msgid string is correct and the name of the game boson is a clone of?
