Hi Guys,
I am Raghu Nayyar, a third year undergraduate from BITS Pilani
University, India. I was going through the list of ideas for Google
Summer of Code 2013 by openSUSE and found interest with *Porting bento
to twitter bootstrap*. I have been a regular contributor as an
Interaction Designer and Developer to ownCloud[1] since quite some
time now and have a proficiency in HTML, CSS, Git and JavaScript along
with a sound knowledge about Interface and Interaction Design. I have
forked the GitHub repository[2] for openSUSE-themes and I am ready to
contribute.
Please help me getting started with it and also redirect me to the
right person.
Thanks a lot in advance!

Yes. Thanks from me too.
Please note that this is a huge amount of work if we want to do this on our own.
So as long as we can work with friendly projects like openSUSE I prefer to do that.

Hi,
recently I've encountered opensuse-community.org wiki, but I don't
understand, which role it has? It's content seem to be rather
duplicating, eg.:
https://en.opensuse.org/Restricted_formatshttp://opensuse-community.org/Restricted_Formats
I've noticed that openSUSE Project teams use openSUSE Wiki to manage
themselves. Is somebody using opensuse-community Wiki to manage
himself? What's purpose of opensuse-community Wiki? Should be
translated?
Thanks.

Now that openSUSE 12.3 is out, the openSUSE ARM Team[0] want to step
up a gear. As the cycle was shorter than normal, there are a few
wrinkles that need to be ironed out and also a whole heap of new
things that can be added. After some discussion at FOSDEM, it was
decided to hold a Hackathon to address these items. The Hackathon will
take place on 08 to 12 April, both at the SUSE offices in Nuremberg as
well as online for those that can't attend in person.
We have a TODO list which comprises the following:
* AArch64 fixes for 12.3 & Factory
* Resolve outstanding 12.3 package issues
* Test and release 12.3 images
* Create OpenStack images for ARM
* Get KVM and Xen on Chromebook & Arndale running
* OBS improvements
There will also be the opportunity for new device bring up for those
that want to, but our intention is to work through and complete as
much of the above TODO list as possible first. For those interested in
joining in the fun, please either join us in Nuremberg and/or join the
opensuse-arm mailing list[1], the #opensuse-arm IRC channel on
Freenode[2] and also keep an eye on the openSUSE on ARM Trello
board[3]. If you have any questions please let us know on the mailing
list or on IRC.

Hi all
I am Akif Khan a Computer Engineering student from New Delhi, India
I am interested in a project for Google summer of code 2013 which is:
Automatic resizing of LVM volumes and filesystems.
https://en.opensuse.org/openSUSE:GSOC_ideas#Automatic_resizing_of_LVM_volum…
Since this project is without a mentor so i am looking for someone to
mentor this project who can help me in accomplishing this task.
I am new to openSUSE development so a mentor would be of great help to
introduce me to the open source world.
Regards
Akif Khan

Hi,
Please find below the meeting minutes for the board meeting this past
Monday. As always the meeting minutes are also posted on the wiki
https://en.opensuse.org/openSUSE:Board_meeting#Meeting_2013-03-25
Agenda
1.) Review Action items
2.) CLT issues brought to boards attention
Minutes
Present: Richard, Vincent, Will, Robert, Andrew
Missing: Raymond, on a business trip
1.) Review Action Items
No progress on board report, Vincent will work on this today
No reply yet from events team on help request concerning Hackathon
organization
Announcement concerning Pascal's resignation completed
2.) CLT issues
An issue regarding CLT has been brought to the boards attention. It
appears that a few things went awry with respect to getting people
energized to give talks, man the booth and have hardware available.
One of the underlying issues appears to be a communication and
expectation issue. After the reorg at SUSE from the Boosters team to the
openSUSE team we have not done a great job in setting expectations and
communicated the new channels of communication. The board needs to
address this and provide better information to the community. The board
will make this one of the topics to be discussed extensively at the face
to face meeting in April.
Robert to communicate with the CLT participants that raised the issue
about the board discussion and next action items.
We definitely want community members to pick up the ball for events such
as CLT and somehow there was an issue in getting everything worked out.
We have to improve on the process and make things easier for community
members.
If you have questions or concerns please do not hesitate to respond to
this thread or contact the board directly on the board mailing list.

Hi,
We have about 15 days to have a solid ideas page for Google Summer of
Code this year. Applications start on the 17th of March. At the
moment, I put up the projects from last year's ideas page on the wiki
page, but they are open to be taken by mentors. Feel free to add your
name to the mentors.
There is a lot of interest among students about Google Summer of Code
for openSUSE, and I have got many mails from prospective students
about the ideas that we have on the ideas page. I think we should
spend some effort into making our participation successful.
Our Ideas Page: https://en.opensuse.org/openSUSE:GSOC_ideas
Please put up your ideas / make yourself available for mentoring on
the ideas that we already have on the page.

Hi all!
I am new, so sorry if I don't do something right. I am trying to learn
as much as I can as fast as I can.
My name is Elijah, aka "Ham_Radio" on the forums.
I am starting up a website called "openSUSEME" Pronounced similar to
"open sesame" just "openSUSEME". I just started it up and am looking for
some help. I am not an openSUSE or Linux expert (Yet!). The website is
going to be similar to "OMG! UBUNTU" except for openSUSE. I have already
paid for the domain name, which include "opensuseme.org, .net, & .com"
and a server. I am asking for help to write articles, administrate the
website and all. I would like News, reviews, how-to's, etc.. and all. I
can give more information to those who are interested.
Thanks!
