[opensuse-project] Pro-active security announcement question

Marcus, I just became aware of a data loss bug for all win8 / opensuse dual booters. The only "fix" is for users to turn off a new win8 feature. As the ntfs-3g maintainer, I will try to incorporate the patch that blocks mounting of ntfs / fat filesystems if the feature is found to be in use, but that is just a stop gap solution to stop users from shooting themselves. Again, the only real solution is for users to disable the feature in win8. Is there a way to announce that now instead of waiting for a ntfs-3g security patch? See below for details of the bug. [opensuse-project] Some quick wiki help needed

Hey there, Anyone have a few spare cycles over the next week or so and would be willing to put a wiki page together? While oSC13 planning is running on all cylinders some of us need to start thinking about the next thing already, i.e. oSC14. For oSC14 there will be a "call for location" at some point in the not too distant future. However, to get this call out the door we need some requirements documented for the venue. That's where you as a volunteer come into play. We need a wiki page that documents the venue requirements for oSC events. Thus things that should be on the wiki page are: - need for projectors - wifi - room for 400 - 450 people - 5 rooms, one large enough to hold everybody - city must be reasonably accessible via plane, i.e. international airport - located in Europe stuff like this. The KDE community has something that could function as a guide http://dot.kde.org/2012/06/28/call-host-akademy-2013 So, anyone around that can spare a few cycles and work on this. [opensuse-project] 12.3 Beta torrent tracker problem?

Not sure if this is the right list to ask this question on - if it's not, please let me know the proper place. (Seems to maybe be an infrastructure issue rather than something that belongs in factory, for example). I am trying to download the 12.3 beta using Bittorrent, and while transmission (the client I'm using) works fine with other torrents, I get the following error from the 12.3 beta torrent: Tracker returned an error: unregistered torrent I do manage to get download traffic, but it seems that the tracker doesn't know about the torrent itself, and I wonder if that's affecting performance at all. Anyone else seeing this issue? [opensuse-project] RFC: Is this right way to call for contributors?

I stumbled over the article: https://en.opensuse.org/Tutorial_how_to_participate and marked it for deletion. What do I need is a community opinion what to do in similar cases: 1) Fix technical errors (move to right namespace, fix categories, formatting) and leave alone, 2) Delete, 3) Something else?
