[opensuse-project] 12.3 Beta torrent tracker problem?

Not sure if this is the right list to ask this question on - if it's not, please let me know the proper place. (Seems to maybe be an infrastructure issue rather than something that belongs in factory, for example). I am trying to download the 12.3 beta using Bittorrent, and while transmission (the client I'm using) works fine with other torrents, I get the following error from the 12.3 beta torrent: Tracker returned an error: unregistered torrent I do manage to get download traffic, but it seems that the tracker doesn't know about the torrent itself, and I wonder if that's affecting performance at all. Anyone else seeing this issue? I had some issues with the main mirror (direct download, torrent,...). Checksum issues and unregistered torrent too. Despite it is not the same issue you mentioned. I switched to metalink from different mirror with success. It finished ok with the proper checksum. BTW, I don't know if a torrent seed was enabled. Hope this can help you. Thanks - it is downloading, but I'll definitely have to check the checksum out and make sure it's good. Welcome. Checksum is a good practice now. Some mirrors are not showing the proper correspondences between the hash and checksum. Maybe someone could fix this soon in order to ease spreading this release. Checksums seem to be broken too, the folk at the Hackfest in Nue are looking into it.

Jos, Grateful feedback. Any chances to make an announcement when checksums are already fixed? Regards, -- Ricardo Chung | Panama Ambassador openSUSE Projects -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-project+unsubscribe@opensuse.org To contact the owner, email: opensuse-project+owner@opensuse.org

Thanks, Jos - does that mean that the ISO is no good, or that there just need to be new checksums generated? The checksums are correct, but they are for the build348 of 12.2 :) We exchanged them now with the correct ones. Greetings, Stephan -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-project+unsubscribe@opensuse.org To contact the owner, email: opensuse-project+owner@opensuse.org

Not sure if it is the same issue, but I added the DVD torrents to my torrent seeder yesterday, and since then nothing has happened. I'm still seeding and seeing occasional traffic - but still also seeing the tracker error. Last night I tested BitTorrent successfully (Transmission Client this time). Checksums were good for x86_64-DVD. Now I am seeding to make it easier for other people too. I've continued to seed as well, and the tracker now is not throwing an error, too. Jim -- Jim Henderson Please keep on-topic replies on the list so everyone benefits -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-project+unsubscribe@opensuse.org To contact the owner, email: opensuse-project+owner@opensuse.org
